i think they deserved what they got more since their actions were based solely on the fact that they could die anytime, hence letting their greed take over. By completely taking advantage of their situation and hurting others, they thought they could never get punished for it since the truth will never get out contrary to what Yi Hyun believed in. SO i think by putting them in front of the restored law and having their sins questioned makes more sense

But this is entirely my own opinion, you are free to your own as well

I think the entire point of the show was to make us be like "this was so not worth it" in the end.
I liked the first half but then it just lost its charm
