Episode 22 was such an outstanding episode: the fights, the character interactions, significant moments, cinematography, everything was top-notch. I watched episode before without the subs and didn't understand the greatness. This drama just keeps getting better. This is going to have a rewatch value of 100.
I have a question. This is the first time I saw Deng Lun in anything and I'd like to see more, but Ashes of Love is 63 episodes and too huge of a commitment. Can you recommend me a shorter drama? A movie, perhaps? Thank you.
Let's see:Same genre. Same writer. Grey character(s). Cultivation sects fighting over after an artifact... Jianghu…
Writer isn't the same. Not of the novels and not of the scripts. Mo Dao Zu Shi (Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation) on which The Untamed was based on, was written by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu, WOH is based on the novel Tale of the Wanderers by Priest. This is script writer's first work in China.
Where have you been watching the episodes? On YouTube, it's only up to episode 12.
I watched raw episodes because I am weak. I don't understand a thing but I can appreciate the visuals. You can find them anywhere. For subbed episodes, we have to wait. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I've read the novel and I saw some videos of this drama and the drama is very different from the novel. I hope…
This was one of the Priest's first novels and the shortest. Scriptwriter extended certain story lines and improved the supporting characters who were mainly one-dimensional in the novel. As for the main story, she stuck as close to the original as possible and actors' interpretation and direction helped. So, in my opinion, this is one of those rare examples when the drama improved the story.
That's it. That's the episode. :D
We are never going to forget that. :D
