So good! Actually you notice that many sound and schematic effects were added on top; they don’t exist in the original drama. This is some real skills. This person should become an drama editor himself/herself!

I would also recommend these two. Ancient detective I watched twice.I really like Once Upon Lingjian Mountain and can totally picture Xu Kai in a proper Bl adapted drama. He is just so good in any role he plays.
My other recommendations would be Ultimate Note and Winter Begonia. WB is BL adapted but more soulmate type. But the kind of connection between the leads are undeniable and very touching. UN is not at all BL but the main two leads are such a great couple. They are a lot of sparks around their interactions.

The more I watch the more I am grateful for the script change. ZZS became so lively and we can see so much emotions - the kind of personality depth the script writer indented to show. ZZH does such a great job!! ? Especially episode 24. I think I have switched the camp. Lol

I agree. It wasn’t that bad with Untamed cause I watched it In one go. But WOH is just so intense!

I don’t how you guys are doing but I am in the biggest drama hole I have experienced so far. I haven’t been sleeping well, giving up working time; and of course the whole weekend... basically my entire schedule has been impacted since I started watching this drama. The title song pops up all the time, WKX’s face too, constantly thinking about this couple and how the story will go from there. It is like I am going through a crush like a teenager... Lol. Sounds ridiculous. I must be crazy...

I am actually not bothered at all by this. In fact, I like it. I feel it is just how the writer depict the next stage of their relationship. The drama (unlike the book, based on what I have heard) has a completely different set up. Even WKX was attracted to ZZS because he recognize him as his childhood friend but was not able to confirm. It is very normal in Wu Xia dramas to have love relationship between students of the same masters. In fact, I don’t know if you guys noticed, I saw as a indirect hint when ZZS explained to WKX that the couple in the 4-elderly group (who sadly passed away later) were Shi Xiong and Shi Mei.
It was quiet obvious that ZZS was already attracted to WKX and started to reciprocate his feeling (talking about spending rest of his short life just with him etc.) before he knew he was his Shi Di. The revelation just gives the relationship (particularly ZZS) another big push.
Now to WKX. He stops to flirt with ZZS is also because there is no need do so (he kind of got the guy haha). Now is more in a state of battling the feeling unworthy of being with ZZS because of his hidden identity. He starts to have self-doubt (rather than this over-confidence at the start) as he feels “oh gosh, he is too good for me, what do I do...? What he finds out whom I am? Will he still love me?” The push has become a pull (rather than one direction) isn’t this what makes it super exciting?
Another big hint I noticed, the whole dialogue of A Xiang to WKX in episode 23 about her fear for Wei Ning mirrors exactly how WKX feels about ZZS at that time. That's why that dialogue was so great. WKX’s micro-expressions were perfect. Maybe, the reason why he wants to send A Xiang away is exactly that: he us afraid he cannot hold on to his love, he at least wants to protect A Xiang’s love.

Yes. That’s true. 2019 more focused on the team and winning the games. 2008 had a lot of that too but felt a lot more natural.

I won’t rate this drama this drama this low because it has some great aspects but I completely agree with your opinion about this show’s shortcoming from 40+ episodes onwards.

Oh did not know you watched it too. I watched it over the weekend and completely agree with your assessment. Really did not understand what happened in the last two episodes. Try to find out from some of the comments in Chinese webpage maybe...
