That’s with all BL novel adaptions in Chinese dramas, because they are censored one cannot really play the BL part. But they will still try to show some of the BL part… the rest is up to audience’s imagination!
I really like your comment and is very well written without spoiling. I completely agreed with your comment. It was a fun watch but one should not think about the story. The ending was an absolute catastrophe. I find this kind of setting, poor against the rich and powerful, with many conspiracy very popular in Korean drama and movie world. And somehow it starts to bore me. There is not much originality anymore. It’s sad that that one needs this kind of illogical writing to hook the audience so one continues to watch.
A drama completely carried by the actors. The writing and pacing is painful. This definitely had the potential…
I just wanted to rant about the same thing... it almost feel like the script writer suddenly changed and had no clue what the story supposed to be about. Side stories that don’t go together, main leads that don’t show up, main story that does not exist... what happened here?
Xu Kai grew up in the Kanton area so his mother tongue is Cantonese. But his mandarin greatly improved so I won’t be surprised if he can play a drama with his real voice in the future. I think in the Falling into your smile, he is still dubbed if I am not wrong.
Nothing wrong but he cannot speak Mandarin well (you notice that when you hear him speaking in interviews) and that’s required in almost all Chinese dramas.
Hi!!! For those who has seen ep 13, can we take a moment to appreciate what a good actress Li Yitong is?? And…
I have been a fan of Li Yi Tong since Bloody Romance. Sorry to talk about another drama here but there is this one scene where she meet the ML again after she thought he betrayed her and left her to die; she could not speak but only showed the pain purely though her facial expression and her eyes... oh my gosh. Still today, this scene stays so vividly in my mind.
I watched all 14 episodes so far and it just ticks every box for me: great lead actors with fantastic chemistry, good balance between humor and drama, no over-dubbing (except for Xu Kai but he has to because of his accent but at least they always stick to the same voice actor) fantastic supporting characters who don’t only act as tools for the main leads, beautiful cinematography, fast pace but not confusing and clever plots both in the front palace as well as back place (if you know what I mean).
Like what she said, he used his power to bully her family to get that embroidered cloth. Her brother-in-law was…
Technically Xu Kai did not know that the job went to Fu Family and her brother’s life was threaten. But I guess the FL did not know that and Xu Kai I indirectly used his power.
I might be part of the minority or maybe its because I like Zhou Zi Shu a lot. But, the way Lao Wen and the others…
I completely 100% agree with you. I really cannot comprehend this decision despite most might argue WKX is trying to protect him. I am probably in the minority too. anybody else having a hard time associating the characters ZZS WKX and the actors ZZH and GJ? after watching their…
AvenuX actually talked about that. Not only does it show that are both great actors (I.e can totally understand and immense into a character completely different the oneself). It also helps the fans to disassociate the actors from the fixious roles. ZZH and GJ can move on to the next roles without having the shadows of the ZZS and WKX. I hope it prevents ugly fan doings from happening. I personally love the fixious characters much more than the actual actors. Hehe.
Why do people compare the untamed with WOH... I don't get.... Say WOH is better than The untamed.... How.....…
Though I have not read much of Priest or MXTX, I did read MDZS and listened to the audio drama. I love both very much. I feel what I like about TU is because there are the other mediums that support it. Only the drama by itself is great but not exceptional. It has a great base materials which helped the drama immensely. However, this is not the same for WoH. The drama adaption is exceptional. It deviate quite a bit from the source material (based on how much I have read) and made it in many aspects much better piece of work. And that's what makes it for me the better drama if I were to compare only the dramas adaptions. But when I have to compare MDZS/TU entirety and WoH it is hard for me. Both are great.
