I love it. So simple yet perfectly executed. Pure fluff done right. And sometimes it's just what you need to get through the days. The actors were perfectly casted and I believe the series would not have been the same with different actors. 9/10
Baby Almond is so good! I can see him going places. I love when the MCs are assertive and express their feelings. Phun is more brave than many adults. And this version of Noh is more honest and expressive which makes their interactions more enjoyable for me.
Unfortunatly, I can't rate this more than 8/10 because the story got boring midway and the pacing was questionable. However, I powered through because I really liked the couple. I love that the FL is a badass but not over the top. She's nice, funny yet dangerous. I appreciate that the actress maintained her "masculine" posture throughout the series (when she's sitting and resting for example). And the ML was funny yet infuriating with his denying attitude. I absolutely love that we got an explicit happy ending, with the couple being lovey dovey.
I'm confusion. The time jump at the start of the episode was jarring. They had 12 episodes to set up their first year working together, to show us why they fell in love with each other. The flashbacks are difficult to distinguish from present time. And the acting is mediocre especially from James. On a personal note, I don't like when the MC is in love with the ML but he's depicted as promiscuous. Especially in this situation : Elis likes Patt but instead of being honest and court him, he sleeps around in front of Patt's salad. Yet he's jealous when someone shows interest in Patt. I've no sympathy for people like this.
I dropped it after ep2. I don't like overused tropes in my GL such as lack of communication, men involved in the couple's love affair, grown women that can't say no to their family, long separation.... Same with The Secret of Us : I finished it but didn't like it.
I wasn't fond of LS back then cause neither the plot, directing or acting was good. I watched this new version to see if they could do better than the OG. I quite enjoyed ep 1. I like ProgressAlmond better than CaptainWhite. They're good together, no awkwardness unlike CaptainWhite. Almond is a cutie and he seems to be the best actor in the cast.
Pleasantly surprised with Leng. He's acting way better than I expected. OhmLeng's chemistry is great, effortless. I was expecting a darker tone since the first trailer was serious. I wanted more. I forgot it's GMMtv...Now, I'm working on lowering my expectation to avoid disappointment.
unlike GMMTV which only has bad actors, BOC has very good actors congratulations.
Tell us you don't know what you're talking about...Most GMMtv series are mid but they have some of the best actors in the industry : Gun, Singto, First, Khaotung, Ohm, Perth, Nanon...
People really don't know what they want: complain when it's slow burn, complain when it's not. Neil's attraction to Sea has been subtle but there from ep2 : he gets a bit shy when they're close and he's protective of him. Not eveything has to be in your face, sometimes you have to pay attention.
We SHOULD be friends I guess because I agree with EVERYTHING you said. Just like bl I want some freaky, dark romance…
"also feels like sapphic love isn't strong enough because they ALWAYS part ways whenever there's a family obstacle." THIS!! I can't with these old school plots! It's dumb when MCs fold so easily against family obstacle. There's nothing romantic watching grown ass women behave like kids and accept everything their parents do. I've no interest watching these GL.
SDL has me in a chokehold! I spend my days thinking about Amasawa & Isumi and I rewatch each episode at least 3 times lol. I've so many feels for this series. I swoon when Isumi makes a cute facial expression, I swoon when Amasawa stares at him with tenderness. The sugar is too much. This episode shows the shift in Amasawa. He thought of Isumi has a friend but now his feelings are getting clearer to him. He was staring at Isumi like "Is this love ? Am I in love with him?" 🤣. Now, he better make a move cause this slow burn is burning me too much.
I get what you're saying, I have dropped almost all Japanese BLs that I try to watch in the past and I've never…
Yes! Omg, I'm tired of this narrative. Everytime I criticize a jbl the worshippers says "you don't understand, it's japanese culture'', or "you need to understand japanese culture to appreciate the series". Bullshit argument to justify poor script and narrative choices. Meanwhile thai bls get dragged daily, sometimes for the smallest flaw. I hate this double standard.
I think if you go into the series realizing that Off and Gun are not the main focus of this series, you will be…
Agree. I've loved Gun for years but since Not Me, he's not all that. I feel like he's phoning it. Meanwhile Off has improved and can hold his own against Gun. For example, he was good in Cooking Crush, he seemed more invested in it than Gun imo.
The actors were perfectly casted and I believe the series would not have been the same with different actors.
