As a fellow adult who watches this show with another adult who shares my opinion of it, I think you're right on…
"...the comments are treating it like God's gift to humanity" -> Finally someone said it! The series is cute and quite well written but the lack of objectivity in the comments is baffling. You'll think MSP is little Jesus coming on earth to save us all.
Maybe a miracle will happen and they will finally kiss! It got boring already.
I think they will "dead fish kiss" in the finale episode but to be honest I don't care anymore. I'm the kind of person that drops a tv show for dragging the "will they/won't they" too long. I've no patience.
I think the plot with the mother's illness wasn't needed. It's adding dramato a cute and stress-free series, feels like out of place. I also didn't like that she was the one telling Gun about Tinn's secret crush. It should have been Tinn's confession to make and it could have been such a nice/funny scene to see Gun's reaction.
TinnGun's flirt scenes are so overdone it killed my interest. Quite not realistic to have teenagers flirt this much and not kiss at least once. I'd rather they didn't do it. I wasn't bothered like this with I Will Knock You cause it was clear from the context it wasn't gonna happen and also the vibe was very innocent. In MSP, the teasing is repetitive and unnecessary.
I wanted more SoundWin!! They're giving me something. Satang's beauty is captivating. And PorThiw?! My, their little scene at the end was hot!
Fr I like Phuwin but he can't do dramatic emotions. He either doesn't do enough or overacts. I was worried they gave this "dark" series to PondPhuwin cause Pond is a newbie and Phuwin can't emote properly. I can't get into the series cause their acting is average or questionable when they're supposed to deliver intense/complex emotions. Such a waste. With better actors and a tight script, the series could have been a gem.
Ep7 was quite bad. The undercover part was weak and too quick. And I really dislike the "I'm so disappointed in you I'm gonna avoid you instead of communicating my thoughts" trope. So childish. Final episode better be good!
This episode editing was all over the place at the start but it got better. Noey's university years deserved one full episode. They could have use it to show the romance progression. Imo a long distance relationship (with no skinship mind you) could be something funny to portray. Overall a satisfying ending to a very cute and unique series. Tar & Boom were great. Tar's getting a lot of praise but I want to say Boom did a great job for his first acting job. Especially during this episode when he had to be emotional. Throughout the series he was a good match to Tar, and their interaction and chemistry were on point, even during the most cringe moments.
It's very PG and saccharine. MDL BL lovers like it more when it's more mature and involves skinship.
No, I dont' equate fluffy/sweet with childish. You can have a sweet/fluffy storyline with mature characters. You can also have adults acting sometimes cutely but you still see them as mature cause throughout the series they react to situations in a mature way. For example, Seo Joon from TMS sometimes acts like a kid (being super cute, pouty and clingy) and with Ji Woo they're sweet. Yet, I've never thought of him as childish. Cherry Magic and Boys' Lockdown are sweet series but I've never questioned the MCs ages and behaviors. And then you have characters like Woo Seung Hyun, who, to me, is like a kid in a grown man body. I feel like I'm watching the typical FL in chinese dramas who is 25/30 but behave like a 15yo.

I agree, especially when the MCs are adults such as in this series. I mean, it's quite understandable to expect the MCs to act like adults and not schoolboys... And I'm not talking about skinship cause series like Semantic Error or TMS are very popular despite being very tame. On the contrary, we appreciate/tolerate cute and fluff when the MCs are in highschool or university. For example, MDL members love My School President and I Will Knock You.
I'm sad for Thi but somehow this heartbreak could be a good thing. I mean, until now he's been burying his head in the sand and acting like he's just putting up with Noey's antics. I'm not judging him, in fact I totally understand him cause a 21yo guy being courted by 17yo gangster? That IS crazy. Now is the time for him to think, to understand that he's hurt because he does have real feelings for Noey, and that he needs to express them.
