The person is literally spending hours doing this for free, and many people enjoy the funny comments. Y’all…
No, I'm just entitled to say my opinions to the subs. What, I can't criticize it because it's "free"?

Lol if you want diabetes with some death go watch a c fantasy dramas. Then be like nah I'm good with the sweetness
I've watched a lot of Chinese fantasy/period dramas and only Love by Hypnotic is sweeter than this.

did you happen to write this same comment in some other drama comment section?
Probably another one of those dramas with a lot of SLS that I really don't get.
On The Perfect Match Feb 2, 2020
I don't get why some people keep saying that "this should've ended at episode 17", like in no way was that a satisfying conclusion, the last 5 episodes actually put closure to the plot.

I think the tag is for the ML
"This is a love story between an e-sports gamer and a Tsundere live streamer."

The ML isn't even tsundere in the show, nor is the FL live streamer.

This is the first time I've felt worried about a remake of this series.( the current synopsis:Chen Jia Xin (Liang…
It sounds generic now with that synopsis.

I don't really get the "hate" for YoonA in this drama. She's obviously the pure damsel in distress character (ala Disney princess), and that's what she's playing as. Are people comparing her to the villain? Of course Song Yoon Ah would be the "star" of the show. It's a political action drama, the villains are always the one who carries those. Ever wonder why it's always the villains who win acting awards? It's like people commenting here haven't watched these types of dramas before.

The ML is angsty, handsome, and strong: check
The FL is pure, beautiful, damsel in distress type character: check
The villain has some fucked up past which fuels villain's ambition and would bulldoze everything in the path: check

Looks like the typical action drama to me.

I've also seen comments of people dropping on episode 1, which is their choice, but the 1st episode doesn't really represent the whole series at all. Well, it's their loss.

Here's a tip to new MDL users/potential watchers:
DON'T LISTEN TO THE COMMENTS IN ANY DRAMA. THE RATINGS ARE MORE ACCURATE BUT ONLY UP TO MUCH. WATCH THE DRAMA FOR YOURSELF, FASTFORWARD IF NECESSARY THEN DECIDE IF YOU'LL CONTINUE OR NOT.

I would've missed out on a lot of dramas that I loved if I believed the comments on these sites. Yes, sites. Not just MDL but other asian drama sites.

Person Kang Ki Young
I hope he gets to be the main lead soon. I'm getting tired of all these pretty boy MLs.
After using this site for a couple of months, I have seen the bias of the international fans on kdramas. I'm guessing most watchers are females because of over praising the lead "oppas" even if their performance was mediocre. I've also seen the amount of hate that certain actresses get even though their performances aren't equal to the hate that they receive.

I guess that's because I'm a straight male that I notice this, and I tend to watch dramas because of the FLs that's why I notice these things.

Also, have you guys seen SLS for female second leads? Because I haven't.

Luckily, I only read comments for the endings. I hate open endings so I quickly browse the comments before I get disappointed. I usually ignore the "this is bad" comments because with all the dramas I've watched (~100+) those with bad comments tend to be good.

While I really like this series and I also really like Zheng Shuang, I think her casting as Bei Wei Wei is a bit weird. For the supposedly #2 school beauty (with the highest possibility of being #1 if not for some circumstances), she's not THAT beautiful (she's pretty but not THAT pretty, if you get what I'm saying). She's also too skinny, almost skin and bones and quite bothering. But anyways, I still loved the show, but Angelababy was a better fit for Bei Wei Wei, although the movie changed her character.

I loved the story progression but the ending left a bad taste in my mouth. The great build up and then we get the last few minutes of the rapist being ruled "not guilty", yuck.

Title Reply 1988
I've watched it and I liked it the least among the Reply series. I honestly think the high ratings are due to the hype that the previous 2 entries built up. I was actually expecting it to so magnificent because of all the awards it got but it was just okay to me.

1994>1997>1988

I would probably rewatch it for Ryu Hye Young and her partner's (to avoid spoilers) scenes and that's it.

People get SLS from the male lead but I really can't stand him. He's acting like a high schooler like it was some youth drama (and I've seen more mature high schooler characters BTW). FL clearly stated that she doesn't like him yet he keeps trying to ruin the leads' relationship. Like grow up, man.

And I've noticed that people only tend to get SLS from male leads. I bet if the second lead was a female doing the same shit, people would call her "annoying bitch".

I don't know how you watch dramas but I rip the streams from youtube and get the subs from subscene. It has english…
Download the youtube video
Download the subtitles
Rename both files to have the same name and put them in the same folder together

I was putting this show on hold for so long and I was happy to have had the motivation to watch it. I was really put off with the idea of having different appearances because I've watched the English movie and found it awkward but they managed pulled it off well. I even rekindled my interest in the rare trope of rich-rich leads because dramas with that trope tend to be melodramas, makjangs, or just plain boring but they did it well here. The secondary couple was cute too but they needed more skinship. TBH, I wasn't even surprised when the main leads broke up. because it's an absolute rule in kdrama land to break up somewhere in episode 11-15.
