There's a scene where their full naked back side is shown. That's what I'm talking about. It was an unnecessary scene and unnecessary nudity.

About DC I agree. I mean they could've explored other obstacles that friends and coworkers meet but they did the same thing over and over again.

About the dark hints: That's what frustrated me so much about the show. They were going in the right direction and could've done something with the darkness but FKY ended up being just another case. I mean TJC was so good in that opera episode. He looks crazy and sick and so dark. I loved it but they didn't use it properly for the rest of the show. It's such a waste. It just felt like they didn't care for it.

That happens a lot with bad Hollywood movies as well but it's just sheeps following the herd

I actually think he did better in ep 2. What's interesting to me is that he is good at the emotional moments. I mean his voice is shaking so well and his emotions are correct but some of the more simple moments fall flat. Pond really got better. I'm shocked that it's the same guy I've seen in so many shows. In ep 2 it's more evident as well. He really did incredible with this. Workshop worked its magic

That's cuz Ik gmmtv for many years now. Since sotus. Ik how bad shows start. Also from a writer pov this feels like writing while lacking an interest in the story. Idk the writers and idk their mood when they wrote it but simple stuff that could be fixed easily like changing the entire waking up Tonkla which feels so random and forced (it would've feel fitting if the show was comedy or simple romance but not mystery). It took around 1 min and 20 sec that's a lot for a writer to use better. Plus it was there to basically give you the information that he is the oldest they could've changed it to just one line of Miss Nuan saying he (Tonkla) has to take care of Tong cuz he is older and making the prank more simple and short. But it feels like they didn't have
what to fill the ep runtime with so they made it longer. Also Miss Nuan should've mentioned the illness and the name earlier. It just feels like a fake illness that they don't want to have to go into details to explain cuz they don't have any information on but it isn't. That's a real illness. They tried to make it sound so mysterious that she basically repeats the same information again and again and then Tonkla as well. It's a mess and I just don't believe the writers care enough for the story to fix it.

Or maybe it's not their fault. (Talking from experience. I used to judge the script as the writers but after mlmu, and personal experience that came after, Ik now that it isn't that simple) Sometimes it's the producers or even directors that pressure you to change this and that in the last min and you can't make it make sense cuz writing doesn't work like that, or you're too angry and frustrated to put any effort.

By the girl and the dna editing being random I mean that the predicting crime was nowhere to be found with Fang Kai Yi. They threw that part of the plot out the window with him. Shen Yi could feel something was wrong only after the woman was killed.

What I'm saying is that they could connect the girl in the red dress farther and give Shen Yi a reason to "go to the dark side" like they intended. What you're saying doesn't change the fact that it was too random. The gene editing was random as well.

You're right about him thinking he is doing good and I was debating whether to write it in the review or not. I added it now. But Fang Kai Yi is more powerful money wise, confidence wise, connection wise. With just a quick glance you can tell he is more powerful than Shen Yi.

He went alone to the sea after that the pool happened. And again. His job is to explain the human behaviour of artist through their arts. He always cared for that stuff he didn't change.

You should learn about the martial arts. Of course not actually learning it but reading it will help understand the "powers" people have. And of course there's the sec thingy. If you really want to understand you should learn about Chinese history or culture
a little before but if you're the kind of person that can pick up things easily it will only be hard in the beginning but after your first drama you'll get it

So true. Season 1 and 2 for the Lost Tomb gave me so much hope but then Sand Sea came out and disappointed me and then this thing and I don't even want to name the stupid fing film with Luhan and Jing Boran. Why can't people just let us ship them? All these characters need to do is focus on action, funny and soft moments. Not love lines. Love lines aren't for them. I'm really scared about the third season when I see this.
