Fr. And the fact that they changed the story so that in this version the boss has a daughter instead of a wife…
WE WERE ROBBED! Hope its not because the wife gets together with the much younger guy in the original that they've changed it... If so then i have problems.
My take on Du Chengs's "absence" is to showcase that Shen Yi doesn't open up as much as he should. DC tries to get involved, but SY shuts him out. Plus, their methods of investigating are so different that they don't always see eye to eye.
This season is focused on SY's mental state, especially his guilt. He doesn't fully trust himself. I think we're seeing SY get isolated by his thoughts (and also that creepy guy) not thinking anyone can help him, see what he sees or feel what he feels. He was told early on in the season "If he didn't become a police officer, he maybe would have been a master criminal". And how damaging isn't that for an already unstable mind? SY wants to do right, but he'll probably do the wrong thing. And our boy DC will swoop in to save him, just like SY did for him in season 1.
So my theory is that DC will start appearing more once SY realises he must open up to his partner, or when DC starts to notice a change in SY.
Just a theory, don't even know if this is understandable... xx
