"put out my eyes but i still can see you..."
I just finished this movie and I already know that, this movie is going to have a special place in my heart for the rest of my life! The music and sound were so good that it was as if I was listening to a precious piece of music in addition to the movie. In terms of the quality and aesthetic of filming, it was very eye-catching and beautiful, and you could feel the love between the main characters~
I don't think I need to talk about the acting talent of the actors because they are both the best; Although the actress had no dialogue at all, she showed her emotions so well that I felt familiar with her more than many other characters with a lot of dialogue.
And in the end, it was one of the few movies that made me cry because of happiness, sadness and stress...
If you, like me, have doubts whether to start this movie or not, I assure you to start faster because you are going to see one of the best movies of your life!!

“It took so long… I was 25, and now I’m 33.”
I truly feel sorry for everything this woman had to endure. All the unbearable hardships she faced just to make her voice heard. The worst part of these agonizing years was reading people's comments criticizing her for having the courage to come forward, to speak up against that disgusting predator, and to expose his filthy truth! Even worse, women, those who were supposed to stand by her! didn't believe her words...At the end of the documentary, I cried tears of joy. This wasn’t the end of everything, and she still has a long and painful road ahead, but it felt so good to see her finally win after all these years, to see her voice finally heard. Even though the documentary was only an hour and a half, I felt like I had walked those eight years right beside her.
Ito shiori, stay strong and keep going. You are one of the strongest women I have ever seen in my life.

"The Hope" is one of the best school dramas you can watch.
★ Reasons why I think The Hope is one of the best school dramas you can watch while you’re still a student:1. Educational issues and pressure:
This drama realistically portrays the lives of final-year high school students. It vividly shows the heavy pressure students face because of the college entrance exam, making it easy for us to empathize with the characters. With a mix of harshness and small glimpses of kindness, the drama exposes the brutal nature of the education system: either you struggle forward toward a faint ray of light, or you stay trapped in the darkness, sinking deeper into the swamp of despair.
2. The influence of teachers, guidance, and family:
Teachers—especially high school teachers—are not just people who deliver limited knowledge. In all religions and cultures, teachers are respected, and this drama finally shows why their role is so highly valued. Sometimes, teachers understand our struggles even more deeply than our families. If they are the right kind of people, they can play a huge role in shaping students’ personalities and futures.
The symbolic beginning of hope, when Li Ming brought in a tree sapling, perfectly shows how teachers can nurture their students into a flourishing, beautiful forest in the world.
3. Diverse and realistic characters:
The characters are not flawless or perfect. Even Li Ming, who is considered a genius, isn’t portrayed as some kind of miracle-worker. He has his flaws, too, and realizes them alongside the students.
The students of Class 11 are written in such a realistic way that you might see parts of your own personality reflected in them, making it easy to relate to and understand them.
4. Strong plot and engaging story:
Across 29 episodes, not a single one felt unnecessary, boring, or irrelevant. From episodes 18 onward, you might feel that the story loses some of its earlier intensity, but those episodes actually set the stage for one of the drama’s most important themes.
The progression of the story and the character development are so well done that you become emotionally invested in every student’s life, you share their sadness, their joy, and, as I said earlier, you almost feel like part of Class 11 yourself, cheering them on toward the college entrance exam and wishing them success.
5. Production quality:
The editing style of this drama felt fresh and unique. The opening and ending sequences presented Class 11, Li Ming, and Ms. Sang as if they were characters in a game advancing toward the “final boss,” which was both fun and creative. Every single actor, whether in a main or supporting role—was outstanding.
On top of that, the soundtrack is beautiful and perfectly timed. The music often plays during already powerful scenes, amplifying their emotional impact, sometimes bringing you to tears, other times filling you with nervous tension. 😭
6. Meaningful messages:
One of the most important takeaways from this drama is: Don’t surrender to life and fate. Fight and work hard so that when you grow up, you won’t regret anything or wish for a time machine to fix your past.
Another key message is: Follow your heart. The future doesn’t only depend on the college entrance exam or prestigious majors. Without genuine passion, hard work in that direction won’t lead anywhere meaningful. The exam is a great opportunity, but it’s not the only one—there are bigger opportunities out there, too.
Finally, the drama reminds us that just because you’re not good at a certain subject doesn’t mean you’re stupid. The problem might be the teacher or the teaching method. If you struggle in one subject, it probably means you shine in others. Not knowing one subject should never make you blame yourself, because it’s only a tiny part of who you are. There’s a much larger side of you, perhaps still undiscovered; that excels in ways you don’t yet realize.
