I think that hubby-wifey is just a thing in Thai BL. I read and watch Japanese BL, and they almost never use it,…
Well for me, I can't help but cringe hard whenever they call a bottom wife, it's such a turn off. I once read a Japanese BL manga where the mc's mother started buying him girl things after he came out, she even changed his uniform into a girl's one. The mc hated it so much, but he went along since it was a way for his mother to cope up with the fact that his son was gay. It's so sad that in reality there truly is people who generalized gay to be womanish, while not all gay man like that. It's no different with people calling a bottom gay wife. It feels like they treat them as woman just because they're the one accepting, as if doing it make them less of a man. Maybe I think too much of it, I don't know. I'm a woman so I won't know for sure what they truly think, therefore these are just my thought and assumption.
Ok, just finished episode 1 and yeah, if this is an indicator of what's to come, I think it'll just be another…
I think that hubby-wifey is just a thing in Thai BL. I read and watch Japanese BL, and they almost never use it, that's why I felt a little bit uncomfortable when I watched my first Thai BL series (TharnType, those words is overused there lol). Don't know about other country. I don't think most men, no matter their sexuality are, would be happy to be called or call themselves wife. That's only my assumption though.
Lurking all over the place to see the official links. Although I know it will be coming out an hour after it airs…
You just need to keep tabs on linetv's twitter, it's the fastest. I don't play twitter, but I bookmarked the account on my browser so I can watch it right away after it comes out lol.
Is it just my device error or the editing is really messy? Like sometimes there's no sub when someone talks, and a sub when there's nothing to translate for, no talking, no written sentence. At one time when Bar talked with Gun over the phone I can't hear his voice but there's sub, and the other time his voice sounded like he was talking on a mic, I can hear the reverberation at the end of his word. And the episode was cut at the very strange scene, like usually it was cut at a scene which makes the audience wants more and curious for the continuation, but that scene doesn't really mean anything I'm actually surprised when it suddenly ended. I guess it's because they have to squeeze a novel in four episode. The plot, I feel like actually quite some time has passed since the series started but they have been stagnant from the beginning to end, like there's no story in that story beside Gun finding Bar's gear and asking to allow flirting with him as a reward, and that's it. The episode is sweet, but it somehow feels empty because I don't notice any development in their relationship and the characters themself.
SARAWAT EXPO I just can't XD Anyway how can Sarawat be cool and cute at the same time? And Tine is just so dense lol I really want to see him jealous over Sarawat for a change, it's gonna be interesting.
I've been trying to come to terms with how Pete wouldn't be in this s2 but reading some comments justifying it by saying "Pete's gone to study at Germany in book 2 that's why he won't be in it" just piss me off. Like, do you even read the book? He's only gone in ONE second to last chapter. It feels like they're treating AePete's story as nonexistent, while there's so many things to cover of them in book 2. Their story is so epic and beautiful and I'm so heartbroken and disappointed we will never see it on screen yet people is telling others it's the way it supposed to be? Just shut up, please. Let me accept this in peace.
Most of the comments here are ranting about Mean, and here I am ranting for something else lol. Sorry that I'm doing it here, but I really need to let it out.
About what Sarawat do to a drunk Tine,i think i saw the glimpse of it on trailer
Whoa, then I guess I'm glad I've been holding back on reading the novel, and now I totally won't read it. Guess it would be like Theory of Love which I like the series waaayyyy more than the novel it's so rare for me, and I only read some last chapters. The only one I can completely forgive after forcing himself on someone else is Ae, and that's only after I read the novel. He did it in the spur of moment and admitted himself right after that what he did was "no less than sexual assault" and that he "had become a rapist" also "had no one else to blame but himself". It doesn't make what he did right, but at least he admit it and know it's wrong without trying to justify himself unlike other perpetrator in BLs with cases like this.
For me the series only borrow the names from the novels, not the plot, not even the characters since they're portrayed…
I also haven't read this part yet, so I don't know how it's supposed to go. Maybe they were afraid to get into conflict with the author if they strayed too far from the original story, or the author has protested already, who knows. A discord won't be a good publication for the series, it will only stain its reputation and get remembered as problematic.
I feel like this show is really enjoyable on a scene-by-scene basis, but is not hanging together as a "story".…
This is just my opinion on what Zon thought of his relationship with Saifah. So after Saifah helped him find guitar pick, he got rid of all hostility towards him. He thought Saifah was actually a nice guy, and they might be able to be friends. But the pact he made with Zol kept haunting him, making him panic everytime Saifah get close. Only after Zol reassured him she had changed her characters that he got really comfortable and let himself free. As he spent time with Saifah without minding the fic, he got to know him more and more for who he was, not his perception. At this point I think he had developed feelings for Saifah, but deep inside he was still scared of Zol's fiction becoming real so he tried not to think too much of it and just brushed it off.
As for Saifah, I think he already liked Zon since the beginning. That's why he often teased him to get his attention. That's why when he finally got the chance to get close to him with the project, he was really happy. Every words Zon said affect him, like how he sparked up when Zon told him he was waiting for him and disappointed when he knew it was a joke. He also cared for him and treated him gently. So in conclusion, their relationship only needs Zon to realize his feelings since Saifah has shown his clearly, which if Zon hasn't notice yet after that kiss attempt I don't know how slow he is lol.
Okay, so here I am again, this time with a bit of frustration. I have not read the novel so everything I am saying…
For me the series only borrow the names from the novels, not the plot, not even the characters since they're portrayed so differently. That made me confused and couldn't get into it at the beginning, that at one point I just make myself think that they're unrelated lol. I think that inconsistency you're talking about is thanks to that. They already made the characters different, but since this is an adaptation they have to stay within the story, and dialogues have to stay within that direction.
Why does the sub mess up with SaifahZon again TT when they finally get longer screentime than usual too TT they're still cute and sweet and funny though, I might rewatch their part when the sub is fixed. Love how Tanthai always latched himself onto Japan too, it's so cute! Tong is so sweet, and finally after many episodes of frustrating tension and denial, FighterTutor admitted their feelings! At this point I don't even care if the plot makes sense anymore, I'll just enjoy the couples scenes to my heart content ^^
I can barely held back my scream when I found ep 3 WITH ENG SUB! And this ep is so greaaat I basically laughed and squealed and screamed the whole episode. Love Sarawat and Tine so much they're so sweet and cute! Tine's friend is so funny lol, the awkwardness I felt in ep 1 has completely vanished. The pacing is perfect too, it flows so naturally. If they keep this up, this might become the best Thai BL I've ever watched ^^ Now I'm gonna go searching for Scrubb's songs~ Gonna thank GMMTV for introducing me to this band after Getsunova :D
My first love in Kdrama is Lee Mongryong from Sassy Girl Chunhyang (gosh that's so old, I watched it while I was in elementary). As for the drama I love with all my heart that's broadcasted within the last two years, that would be Just Between Lovers. I don't know how many times I've repeated watching that, even if not the whole series. I won't say I'm in Kdrama slump though since there's still some dramas I enjoyed, the latest is Romantic Doctor, Master Kim.
I haven't read anything like that. The only thing I can say is yes, Sarawat kind of manipulated the situation.…
Wow, thanks for explaining! That's what I thought too after I watched the spoiler video, how can Sarawat knows what Tine would do? It feels too forced if it were to be that way. I was kinda feel put off by that, but thanks to your clarification I'm so excited to wait for them again :))
I feel like this ended too soon, or they focused too much on one couple and not the other. Team and Win were on…
It's because WinTeam novel isn't finished yet, you can even say it's only starting. I feel like they should've waited for both novel to be completed before putting both couples into the series.
When you see someone holding a gun and already point it to their head, it's risky to get close to them because…
I think at that scene they wanted us to focus on In's feeling, and since throughout the series they showed us how much KornIn suffered because of their fathers so they tried to keep how much grief the couple's death brings so it will bring more impact at the finale. That's just my opinion though :D I understand this series might not be to everyone's taste, but I'm such a sucker for slow paced story so I like this ^^
All I can said is that I'm mad I didn't like it. It should be a perfect series for me because I'm a sucker for…
When you see someone holding a gun and already point it to their head, it's risky to get close to them because with their state of mind they'll most probably shoot themself right away if you do. The best you can do is trying to talk them through and reason with them, but often you don't know what to say because you're just too shocked to think clearly and one wrong word can be fatal. Their fathers weren't exactly good at sweet talking either, so I kind of understand why they did nothing.
Excellent closing episode. Full of tears and happiness emotions. Thanks to Studio Wabi Sabi for producing this…
I love both series, so what would that make me? You don't need to insult another when you praise one. Both shows have their own strength and weakness, it targets people with different taste. If you want to criticize, do it on their page with respect, no need to bring them here and insult their fans just to lift your fave up.
A satisfying ending to a beautiful series. Just a few seconds into the finale and I'm already brimming in tears TT Love how Dean truly owned up to Korn's mistakes even though it's not him who did it, and how he tried to make amends. I can really feel his sincerity, and it's moving. And Fluke did a good job switching between Pharm and In back and forth, I can tell them apart clearly. He acted out his inner turmoil between two characters feelings really well, making me feel anxious too. Overall although there's still room for improvement, it's a great and meaningful finale. Thanks for everyone who has provided us with this amazing series!
