I felt the opposite. I think KY's character changed to protect those she loved & close to her. She need to distant her relation with them first so u see her act all cold, ruthless to her ex-fiance and not telling her friend & parents about her scheme. She need to gain FXS trust by working with him and show him that she is strong and capable woman in business not just a pathetic school teacher.
