The first half of the show was better than the second and it's kind of disappointing. I haven't finished it yet but, but it's been almost 10 eps it basically consists of the Female Lead being manipulated and being brainwashed. It feels like watching the same scene over and over again. Her character development is going backward. They overuse "misunderstandings" plots. The development of a lot of characters is lacking. I think it's good someone makes a review about these issues.

I get what you mean. Personally I dropped at episod 10 and I am still wondering if I am missing out on something cause a lot of people seems to love this show. I also liked Love and redemption and legend of Fuyao better. Not just about the story but the characters, it hooked me from the beginning...

The comment I was looking for. I am only 13 minutes into the story and I am really appealed to the pictures but the music is distracting me too much. If it's this way all along it's not gonna work for me either. So annoying I really wanted to watch this.

I am reading a lot of very good reviews and I understand why, it's a good show. Personally I won't give it more than a 7. It's the first time ever I am skipping a lot in a drama. I have watched long dramas before so lengh usually doesn't bother me. I have never felt like giving up cause I got attached to some characters, but it could have been way shorter. Ahn Jong Hee made it worth it, and I would still recommend to watch.

Yeees me too! I almost missed watching it because of some critics I read. I am so glad I gave it a try, it was worth it. I thought it was well paced, and I enjoyed the cast !

Saaame! I am putting it on hold at ep 37, I don't think I will keep watching... I am not a chinese drama expert, but I prefer stories that makes me feel more engaged emotionally, this one is just not touching me that much. But I don't want to discourage people from watching it, apparently we are the minority here haha

Woo Do Hwan's acting is very detailed in my opinion. I am always impressed with his acting skills. If you watch other of his work, you'll see it's not just because he is the funny character. I loved his performance in "My country", maybe you would enjoy it too ;) I agree with your opinion, I think there's a thin line between expressing a preference and pointing out actors...

I am watching this right now, I am around ep 20. I feel like the ratings here are high, so maybe don't expect a masterpiece like I thought it would be... There are a lot of inconsistencies, the character development is weird. So far no " wow" effect for me, BUT I didn't give up cause there are good moments, it's entertaining, and I enjoy the main leads...I have never watched Arsenal Military Academy, give it a try if you like the actors cause despite the screenwritting flaws, they are doing great!
