At the beginning I thought they would use the mother's sudden death as a plot in the story. But I guess they never planned to explain us why she died 🤷🏻♀️ I enjoyed the first half as a light watch, but it's becoming messy. The palace plots are boring me, I honestly can't follow properly, so I won't talk about it. So the romance... It bothers me she didn't tell right away she was Dam I. I feel like I'm being used to keep watching more episods until he discovers, because the plot aside their story is not strong/smart enough.

It wasn't perfect, but omg... I loved it so much. One of my fav drama this year! I even rewatched some of the firsts episods while it was airing, and it's not something I usually do. I'm living for this mix of historical, folklore/ fantasy tale type of drama. Makes me want to read about Korean folklore and Korean history. It was so nice to watch it at night time before going to sleep. I did prefer the first half, but I never felt bored or wanting to drop it. I have to mention Baekhyun who once again blessed my ears with this beautiful OST I listen to almost everyday. Beautiful ending for our main couple, going to miss them for sure!
I'm at ep 13 and I start feeling disappointed. I really miss the intensity of their love from the prequel and intensity of the story. I love this couple so I really want to keep up, but everything around starts feeling bland, and so far I don't understand why there are so many episods haha 😒😅
I'll give you a big list to help you categorize. All these are famous dramas I enjoyed. Some I can't remember if they have love triangles. But stories are nice! With multiple couples+realistic ( slice of life): Because this is my first life, age of youth 1&2, Family drama: once again (romance multiple couples, real life problems, lot of episods) Romance+realistic:Just between lovers (a very little bit of love triangle not too annoying) . Romance + interesting unique plot: W, healer, while you were sleeping, I hear your voice, Mr Queen, kill me heal meAlmost no romance or zero romance: Search, flower of evil, Memorist, D.P ( this one is realistic and intense though) 🤔Chinese : The untamed and Word of honor if you like boys love. But because of censorship there's good balance between romance and good story. But don't think too much pick anything if you don't like you can drop it it's ok, I do it all the time 😂 Don't hesitate, if you have recommendations for me ( any country, any genre)
You are not bothering me don't worry :) There are no secondary couple, and there are no love triangle. The romance is light, there are many funny moments. It focuses more on the plot that is strong and the story that is unique. I always stop watching at episod 14 because it gets a little bit boring for me ( but I'm not an example to follow, because I drop a lot of shows😅). If you tell me what kind of drama you like, I can give you recommendations ;)
