Thats not how you do it ( drastic changes ) it kills your chance right away and instead bring more hate rather than support. And it wont do good eithet for both the drama and the actor. The witchhunting is really strong here in south korea. If u want to change someone perspective u need too do it step by step and atleast tell the viewers what things can change their mind. For example. Saeroyi consoling hyun ni that she didnt do anything wrong. That to show that transgender are human too and deserved to live just like other.
Third, Once again this is a business and the writter not the one who had power to cast a real transgender person into a drama. Do you think the production company will allow it? Let alone jtbc to allow it air on their channel. It will bring a huge backlash and once again it lose money so a big no. It is not the same case but still related. You know people who came out as gay/lesbian? Have you ever see them again in tv? Have you check the netizen comment about them? Even if the producer decided to do it.
