So, there's that fast-forward in time toward the end and we've arrived several months later. The music club is…
It seemed like a freaking circus show... It was like they were using SarawatTine as a pretend couple to promote music club, not genuine at all... This maybe an unpopular opinion, but you don't need a huge crowd of people cheering to make romantic scenes impactful, quite the contrary actually...
What can I say? My mind is balancing between being disappointed and being satisfied... The ending was cute (I especially liked Man and Type), but I felt like it was missing that little something, that made my heart flutter like it's made of butterflies (which was quite common up till the episode 9). The thing is, the finale was okay, but since 2gether put the bar so high with the first few episodes, I somehow believed it won't be just okay, but perfect to redeem itself for the last two not so perfect episodes... In conclusion, I just need to calm all my thoughts and expectations down. I was planning on writing a review right after the final episode, but then I decided not to, since I don't think it would be fair. Instead I'll just let 2gether be for awhile, after so many weeks of obssesing over it, and then I'll rewatch it with clear head and unbiased, not so over-emotional opinions.
Right?! Like he was purposely trying to lead Tine into breaking up with him, because he was too much of a coward to do it himself. Or he was just enjoying making Tine suffer... Well, anyway, he was just being a real saraleo this episode
Ep. 11 and 12 really made me wonder if Sarawat really loves Tine or if he was just into the idea of pursuing him... Because he's more and more distant every episode since they got together and now this clownery with Pam.. Like wtf is happening?
*sighs* damn that one user i bantered with was actually right. i really am delulu. i still cant fathom all the…
Completely agree! Until episode 7 I was always so defensive like "Overrated?! No way!" and now I'm sitting there completely disappointed and sad. I was able to rewatch every episode three times when it came out and was obsessed, but honestly ep. 11 (except the final part) and 12 was more than enough watching just once. I guess this is what I get for being too harsh on WHY R U. I'm a complete circus show. Shame on me, lol.
I still like the show tho, just not as much as before...
Okay... I've seen many "friends to lovers" series, but how did Sarawat and Tine manage to reverse it and go from lovers to friends is beyond my understanding. How could they lose so many sparks just by becoming a couple? Isn't that suppose to be the other way around?I mean, I understand Tine being insecure, I could even forgive him for being a little bit annoying sometimes with his overthinking. But where the hell did Sarawats personality go? Knowing him from first 10 episodes, I would think that he will be the first one to reassure Tine and make him understand how much he matters to him. Or make Sarawat at least look happy when he's with Tine and not like he's suffering every minute just from breathing the same air as him, please. Both of them look like they're suffering in the relationship and that's not at all what I came for. Like... Could you maybe not ruin the main character just for the sake of drama, GMM? (Also what about half of the scenes from preview? Are we acting like it wasn't there or...?)
Same here. Where is Mr. Chic from the earlier episodes? The confident guy who does cheerleading to get some girls?…
Yeah, I agree with that, but it got worse after getting together with Sarawat. And that's kinda anticlimactic if you ask me, since they want the audience to root for them.
I love this series and all the fluffy scenes are making me really happy, but it feels like something is missing. Maybe it's the lack of explanation of where Sarawat and Tine are in regards of relationship level. Sometimes Tine gets all shy about kiss on the cheek and sometimes it feels like their relationship is fully developed, if you know what I mean ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) So I think some subtle explanation to make it more clear wouldn't hurt.
There is absolutely no problem with gay kissing. To me it just feels like the producers were relying on those…
I'm sorry if it came across as insulting. How they made the scenes is actually esthetically very pleasing and on much higher level than porn. I know that big amount of work and care must have went into making this. Also I'm very glad that lately we are getting much more mature approach in terms of gay relationships (TharnType, TutorFighter and many others), because I still remember how reserved BL series were at the beginning (Lovesick, 2 Moons). Why I compared it to a porn is not because they focused on the intimacy more than other series, but because the intimacy became the main point of the whole story. We got many episodes with recycled dialogues without any added value. As I said in my review there is about 3 hours of beach montage with no story progression at all. So my comparison was more about the lack of storytelling in last few episodes and trying to gain more popularity by milking the intimacy to the absolute core like dairy cow. I just feel like they overdid it. Do you think that you could watch thirty minutes from hour long episode of for example fighting or eating or love confessing? It's just too long of the time stamp and no matter what the activity is and how enjoable it is for first few minutes, it would get boring. That's why good pacing and flowing storyline is so important for any show. Other than that I think that WHY R U is alright series and there definitely were some really interesting moments and creative ideas (mostly in first episodes).
Also this is just from my point of view and how I perceive the scenes, I'm not really sure how others meant it when they compared them to porn. Thank you for your input, it's always nice for me to see various opinions. It makes me think outside of my own little bubble and it really widens my perspective.
this is amazing, can we appreciate how we live in a time where people not only on this page but 2gether's page…
There is absolutely no problem with gay kissing. To me it just feels like the producers were relying on those scenes to the point where the actual storyline was suffering.
I also compared it to porn, but not because I find it too heavy or unbearable (it is after all pg18 show). For me it's more about the structure - in porn you also have a short dialogue and then the rest is just them getting it on. And I feel like in series, where there's supposed to be a plot, half of the episode of them kissing is way too long. The imbalance between story telling and kissing scenes were my biggest issue. They were using sex as a story filler for the last four episodes and that alone for me is really anticlimactic.
Because let's be honest if you overdo it with something, it just looses the charm. Whether it's too much drama, repetitive conversations, too many couples or too much kissing.
So I have nothing against passionate kisses, quite the opposite actually, but using it as a main market strategy could sometimes backfire.
I don't really get the hype around Together With Me, I mean, don't get me wrong, the chemistry was amazing, I…
Yeah, it really added a new dimension into the series by showing lgbt girl representation, displaying that not only male engineer students are gay. And also showing how fluid sexuality is in unique way. I liked the fact that the girl didn't reject Pan and they actually gave them the chance to explore their relationship (even tho I couldn't really appreciate it while watching, because I rooted for Fah too hard).
Yes! I'm so down for this! I'm genuinely curious if anything changes. Maybe our opinions will be in sync after 2nd rewatch, haha.
Can she just.. i don't know... be quiet sometimes and let others live their lives peacefully?
