thanks for the rec! Updated ^_^
you have some really interesting lists! I always am positively surprised when I come across dramas and movies that depict such different lifestyles than we see in mainstream media. I don't know which list I would put in Saionji-san wa Kaji wo Shinai, but I think that's another one of those alt love/lifestyles similiar to Gunjo Ryoiki, Kazoku Boshu Shimasu, Enjiya and Nichiyo no Yoru Gurai wa. I think it's kind of like the chosen family "trope" but also goes against the heteronormative idea of family/love. Maybe I'll create my own list haha

Shison Jun and Kishii Yukino are killing it with their chemistry and acting in this drama!! :') I honestly don't give a damn about it not being the most amazing suspense drama

Despite Yeom Hye Ran being such an amazing actress, I'm a bit flabbergasted that they let a 47-year-old play the mother of 37-year-old Ahn Jae Hong

I would have loved to see Kim Mo Mi and Kim Chun Ae have more moments together. They were so wonderful and interesting together. I know this drama is not about the happy fluffy moments but seeing them being in a way healing each other's inner child, made me wish we would have gotten more moments with them. Even their tough and terrible moments made me go aww look at those bffs :') lmao

I'm honestly in love with this drama! Legit the cinematography is so beautiful, it makes you admire all the tiny details, parallels, and even the way the camera approaches our characters, which tells a lot about their feelings. It feels more like a movie than a drama, especially with how much care the episodes were shot and edited. What I really love about this drama is, how everyone's inner voice and pov give us insight into the thought process of each individual. Btw. I wouldn't say this is your typical infidelity drama. It does not glorify the infidelity but opens a conversation and lets us experience how important it is to speak your mind and let your partner know about your feelings and also your desires. It's eventually the vulnerability to open up and connect that causes disruption and realization of how much people neglect themselves while trying to maintain happiness and comfort in their marriages. The two people who fall in love outside of their marriage, respect the boundaries of each other and realize despite that how much they need to be heard and cared for. It does cause a huge conflict with their conscience and feelings for each other. Somehow it keeps you rooting and hoping that ppl just divorce each other for their own sake of happiness ;_; It's all very legit and very well done and I applaud everyone involved. After watching 5 episodes, I highly recommend this to people who love a drama that focuses on the human connection, will they/won't they, communication in a relationship

the reason why I would consider watching this is for the screenwriter tbh

honestly, everyone who is not watching Doronjo is missing out on a masterpiece! The writing is fantastic, and so are the pacing and character-building. It makes all sense and the climax is just so satisfying to watch. This even got social commentary that all those rich white superheroes will never achieve! We are faced with how the system fails people with disabilities and the poor. There is so much to talk about, like the class commentary (inequality and power structures between the rich and poor), and the ethics of being a good or bad person in a world that is built in favor of the rich and powerful. It even makes a commentary on the way the original Doronjo dresses! Even a whole commentary on toxic fans in idol culture! It really has it all. There is so much symbolism in the way the characters are dressed and the objects around them that make it so much fun to look at! There are a whole lot of wholesome moments too!!
