don't make me fall even more love with this man lol
they look like so much fun! I watched some interviews with them all and tried the automatic translation but I barely understood sth. aaaaaaaah I don't stan anyone, but you all are turning me into a machida stan :D
She is so lovely in Neechan no Koibito! I'm definitely a fan now. I would watch a spin-off with her character. Her presence is just unique. I need to watch more things with her.
This drama is so damn special. Every person is so dimensional. I love the friendships and working environment. I especially love the way her uncle was just honest and said that he doesn't know. I'm used to seeing elders/parents being stubborn and against a relationship in such situations. It was nice to see that all characters were mature enough to communicate. I especially love how the women in this drama talk about their struggles as women, it feels very real. When Miyuki said she is against it, I could totally get her. It really touched me why she was against it. They both have such an amazing friendship. You can see how Momoko appreciates having someone who gets her on a completely different level. Hinako is another character I simply adore. I need to watch more things with Koike Eiko in it. She has such a unique presence. Her character is so loveable. I would even watch a spin-off where her character is the main lead.
Eto and ano are pretty common word fillers. The ehhhs are actually sounds they make for different situations.…
In another jdrama I'm currently watching, the FL actually points out that the ML (he has a secret) is using them a lot. It does seem to be a way to show that someone is surprised, hesitant when you used a lot? So Akaso is definitely might be using it more for his role, but we would need to compare his regular speech. It's probably like it is with other filler words in other languages. From a social linguistics perspective, they always have a function, even with no lexical value. For instance, they give cues to the listeners. There's an increase in usage of certain fillers, however, I'm not sure about Japanese word fillers.
EDIT: it says thursdays 7:00pm CET
