Fl didn't chase Ml intentionally she just had to so she could get the the house she dreamt of living in with the…
I agree the character of the FL is quite amazing, her determination to help pull the ML out of his emotional and mental anguish should really be applauded. Not many girls would be able to put up with the blow to their ego like that. The scriptwriter definitely has to add in this element of her being in conflict, it's a melodrama, it's not going to be resolved so easily. When she was busy trying to pull him out of the rabbit hole, she was focused on him. So, she wasnt' thinking about her own insecurities, which she already told the ML in Episode 20 (after meeting Prof Oamm). But when he was back on his feet, she started to think about herself and their relationship. As much as she is attracted to him and can see how much he cares for her (at least prior to the jail incident), their conflict is really a typical Chinese issue about marrying someone of the same social status. It's something that has been around since ancient times, and even till today, this is something parents remind their kids about. In addition, she is someone with self-esteem issues (otherwise she won't be so insecure). So, having to rub shoulders with the rich, being used to high-class social events and stuff will take some getting used to. It's not entirely her issue alone that will help pull her through. I think the ML will have to play a part in giving her the reassurance, and yes, it's also her battle to fight, so to speak. But it's going to take both parties to overcome that issue. Change is not easy for anyone, it needs moral support and encouragement and the right approach. Hopefully they both weather the storm. But looking at this show and it's direction, I suspect there will be gaps in between where it will appear as if he does nothing (either scriptwriter/editor issue) and likely some more contention between the two of them. Good luck to the FL.
yes, but it bothers Li Qin, she went to an event with him and left early and after that refused to meet up with…
I know right, not the first time the editing is so weird. The other time was at the 2nd FL's wedding, she was eating cake, and then they are on the bridge and he is poking fun at her for it... that scene also felt off for some reason
Raws are uploaded to E30 here. Subs will be released Wed-Fri.https://tv.gboku.com/voddetail/2175.html
There's a lot of angst, anger and hurt throughout E25-29. LYZ is agrieved with his father's condition, doesn't want DXS to help anymore, tries to drown his own sorrows in alcohol or whatever behaviour he can think of, and most of the time she comes rushing in to 'save him'. And almost all the time, has to put up with his bad behaviour. There's almost a turning point where they make dumplings together for the father (who dotes on DXS much to the consternation of LYZ) but then LXY comes and rubs it in his face that he is nothing and he spirals down with his ego again, and kicks her out of the house. People around him try to tell him that he should be kinder to DXS who has been taking care of the father religiously but he's too caught up with his own emotions to want to make amends, choosing to believe that letting her go is better for her own sake (since he amounts to nothing much right now). In E28, he gets extremely drunk, she helps him back to his room, stays up all night to take care of him as he is feverish. She falls asleep by his side (he has a dream about his mother telling him to let her go, and she gives him advice to appreciate the people by his side, lest he regret it). He wakes up, puts her in his bed, and leaves her with a letter. The letter expresses his feelings, the struggles he has been through, leading a life without much happiness and finally the joy he experienced with her around. But now, it's time for her to forget him, she should find her own happiness. She looks everywhere for him and eventually collapses out of weariness at the airport, SQ and the BF come to 'rescue' her.
In E29, she finds him again in a seaside location (I suspect where they have been before doing volunteer work for orphans? coz I haven't seen the earlier episodes), after being approached by the prison buddy who offers her some advice about him. She decides to strengthen her resolve to help LYZ pick himself up again. And things take a turn for the better, he accepts her and says he will treat her well from now on. But in E30, they go to a party with his friends and the look of discomfort is all over her face. She leaves halfway, especially after his ex-GF turns up. (I recall in an episode before he went to prison that she mentioned explicitly, she is someone who is insecure, and this is acting up on her.)
I only started to watch just because of Zhang Yunlong. But where is he? I'm gonna drop this drama now.
lol, I have to admit that was one of the pull factors for me. I caught a glimpse of him in the Pillow Book, and thought he is one good looking guy. He does appear in the drama but dies half-way due to a work-related incident.
yes, but it bothers Li Qin, she went to an event with him and left early and after that refused to meet up with…
Honestly, I watched the later episodes to try and gauge if I should watch from the beginning so I don't really know what Si Qi is like but I do feel from what little I have seen that is she is rather brash and needs work on her EQ. Will know more about he irony of her advice when I watch from the beginning.

Yes your explanation is right. He also explains that he wants to bring her to more of such functions so she can get used to it. She replies "Do you think I can really get used to it?" Then he replies "I know the way they speak may make you feel uncomfortable, I want you to understand them more, they are not bad people, please don't have any biases/prejudices about them." And she retorts, "You think I can't get used to being around your friends because I have a bias?", and then adds "It looks like we really see things differently." He then replies "That's not what I meant." She replies, "I don't have to proof anything in front of your friends, perhaps in the past, I had some illusions about our relationship. Just take it as a dream."
yes, but it bothers Li Qin, she went to an event with him and left early and after that refused to meet up with him. But he doesn't appear to be concerned at all. Instead, her friends are giving her advice about dating someone who is more her level/social status. (later down in one of the posts, there is a Vietnamese dubbed preview of E31-32. I've gone to see the actual one on WeTV. So at the start of E31, LYZ and his buddy from prison are chatting. The buddy points out that LYZ maybe the largest shareholder of the company but he has no decision-making authority. To regain that authority, he has to proof his innocence, so I think that's what they are planning to do next. LYZ also adds that he is making a comeback to contribute/advance his father's legacy.)
I am really disturbed with all the scenes after he got out of prison, ie in E25 (if I recall correctly). I get that he is confused and all and is going down a rabbit hole, with his emotions. But every time Li Qin comes to try and bring him to his senses, he is abusive to her, throwing things (including glasses and bottles) and shouting at her. I am amazed at how her character is written. And after that, he leaves to do some 'soul searching' and she manages to track him down again to some seaside place. It's here that they are trapped on a rock outcrop, the tides come in and they can't get back to the mainland. She develops a fever and loses consciousness but asks him never to leave her (when she is delirious with fever and freezing cold by the sea) to which he agrees. After they are rescued, she tells him not to take what she said too seriously but he says he will.
I think of all the characters in a drama I have seen, I am truly very disturbed with this one. I get that it's extremely realistic and all, I just feel bad for Li Qin, the character, I mean does she have to put up with all that abuse?
