I think his expression is dawning recognition that she lied to him and chose freedom. So he won't even send anyone…
haha...that would be funny too.

I understand that everyone feels like the ending sucks, and it is open, but it just ended, so there is a possibility…
I agree, it's a question of business viability and motivation on the director's/producer's/production house's end.

Title My Journey to You Spoiler
Rumor there is 2nd season ( already finished shooting)1. There some character name still not yet show in drama2.…
Fingers crossed you are right! In 2019, when they shot Young Blood with a young, not so popular as yet cast, and a cliffhanger ending, there was also little hope of a season 2. But then most of the cast became popular, so the business proposition for a season 2 became more viable. [Even successful dramas like Nirvana and Joy of Life had to wait their turn.] At the end of the day I think the director also knows the sort of reputation he has, amidst claims that there is a 'soft ban' on him. Therefore, the only way to make part 2 a viable business proposition is either (a) to have shot everything beforehand or (b) to make it good enough that the viewers demand it so that there is funding to shoot the remaining episodes. And for that to happen, the storyline and production quality have to be good enough and some questions have to be left unanswered. And IMHO, there are questions that were clearly put forth to viewers, especially towards the end (most of which has been mentioned anyways):
1) Who are the 'infidels' or 'evil' that the back hill families are guarding against - this was clearly mentioned and the answer from the elders is that they don't know.
2) What happened to the fourth family, the Fengs? They suffered a downfall but what? And why is it Ah Yun was able to learn the Qing Feng stance, originally from the Feng family, from Wufeng - a burning question. And the assassin organisation is also known as Wufeng - such a coincidence? Feng isn't that common a surname.
3) We have been reminded that there are two Liangs - but no clues as to whether they are legend or exist. But from the story, we were also led to believe that the Red Guards in the Gong residence are a myth and they turned out to exist. So the Liangs are likely to be real.
4) Clearly, everyone has pointed out that the head of the assassin organisation is shrouded in mystery - all the more reason to keep the person anonymous for a later revelation.

In the last episode, Gong Ji Yu sent messages to the community about the Fortnight fly poison being a lie and the identity of the head, but we all know that such information alone is not enough to take down the organisation. Ah Yun mentioned once that the hold Wufeng has on other people, is not so much the poison but the secrets. And people don't want to have their dirty linen aired in public. So clearly, taking them down with just information alone is not enough. It's too passive. And all they have done is buy time for Wufeng to regain its strength but defintely not to stop them forever, so there is much left to this tale.

To be honest, my first reaction was he thought it was her as the sound of the doors opened, so there was that look of anticipation but turns out it wasn't her. Then later I realised he had a kind of look as if he couldn't quite figure out what to make out of it. It wasn't grief or concern or anxiousness for sure. If he saw a dead body (typically on a cart) as the body can't just fall from the sky, right... he would have rushed out, but he just sat there as if he was trying to figure things out. So, I was pretty sure, she wasn't dead and it wasn't her as well (injured or not), because if it was, he would have gotten up excitedly and rushed towards her. And twin or not, he wouldn't have known just by looking because they are identical twins, unless that person said something. It may have been someone else sent with a message, someone he knew (perhaps from Wenhua Pavillion because that is the only place I think he frequented and was familiar with in the Valley) and so, he was trying to figure out why that person was there.

Haha, I had a strange thought as I was working in the kitchen, if they ever have a 5-min extra, I would attribute this strange 4-min ending to a dream. And Gong Ji Yu would wake up in cold sweat on the very day that Ah Yun was to come home. [muahahaha....I am sure that would get more rotten tomatoes directed at the director.]

I finished this drama thinking that Young Master Xue and Young Master Yue were the same person until the end LOL.…
Zhou Mei is a member of the Qing Feng sect who fell in love with someone from the sect that SGQ claimed to belong to. They were lovers but the relationship was not approved by the leader of the Qing Feng sect, the head, named DianZhu (spelling could be wrong) but these names were mentioned several times in the drama. The lover lost his arms and legs, and likely life after that, and his entire sect was wiped out, leaving SGQ an orphan (that was at least what she claimed). Zhou Mei's name was used by YWS as a cover for why she knows the Qing Feng martial arts in the earlier episodes when she was fighting with Jing Fan.

Baidu states that it's meant to be a light hearted romance drama. I think from the trailer, you can tell it will be filled with humour. It has the HK movie vibes where Alls Well Ends Well and they would air it during CNY to herald in the new year with lots of hijinks and laughter. Certainly not for those who want logic and authenticity (I saw majong featured and I think it only got introduced in the 19th century, so this drama if measured against the new ruling would have received a black mark, for sure)

But what is it about?
Because of a marriage selection, girls from all over the world gathered in Xinchuan. Yin Zheng (played by Bai Jingting), one of the six young masters of Xinchuan, who keeps a low profile, and Li Wei (played by Tian Xiwei), who just wants to work hard and not get selected, live comfortably in this hometown. They unexpectedly form a relationship, and together, start a new life where they encounter numerous situations and complement each other in overcoming them. As Yin Zheng sets up a government office and goes to court, the two gradually develop similar tastes as their hearts become in sync. They share three meals and four seasons together, and grow up with other brothers and sisters with different personalities and fates, living a warm, daily life as a Xinchuan family together.

Could someone help me find the background music ? The one that was played when FL hit that drum? I am seriously…
i hope the official BGM comes out too. I am also looking everywhere for E37, 7:36-8:12...there are snippets here and there but all very short before the voices disrupt the music.

What's your favourite of his in an historical drama?
From what I gather, the drama received favourable comments up till the ending part. I am sure critics can poke holes, if they want to, I recall some people couldn't stand the younger sister of the FL, but the part that got audiences riled up the most, was the ending. The chemistry was good between the two leads and their interaction, how it progressed was enjoyable to watch.

Criticism from viewers about the ending, how it panned out. Doesn't fit the taste of modern viewers, how she took all the blame and left him. It's incongruous with her character (supposedly) and the strength of the relationship/promises they had to each other (just prior to the dramatic last episode.

What's your favourite of his in an historical drama?
There was not one but 6 scriptwriters who collaborated on the writing of TAB. They apologised for the quality of the script as they were admittedly novices, with very little experience writing scripts for costume dramas. So, anticipating the needs of the audience was not something they had factored in before, they tried to portray what a character would have done in that era, but of course this doesn't cater to the needs of the modern audience. They admitted that much, so I think we can cut them some slack, and give them opportunity to improve in the future.
[just for the records, it wasn't to my liking too, LOL]

Very good drama, I liked it very much. When the ML recovered his memories the FL shouldn't have given up so easily,…
fan service probably, and to give people a chance to watch all the parts put together, in a story-like format. TBH, the drama wrapped up at E28.

This was extracted from the drama, and someone removed the voice part and this can be heard unmistakably. The person was definitely more skilled than me because the muffled vocal tones have been removed. Appreciate the youtuber for doing this.
