I feel like they could've shortened the amnesia arc. I kinda watched till ep 14 & straight went to ep 21 when…
Mu Yun I think represents the repressed / unexpressed side of MTZ. I suppose that arc gave us an appreciation for what MTZ would have been like had he been more in touch with his emotions. Think of it as a character growth of sorts? Besides, technically, they are the same person, just a different facade of him.
Does this drama has some fantasy element? I haven't started it watching but l have watched the trailer and it…
it's not fantasy. The ML has an accident, loses his identity and takes on the identity of a character in a drama he just completed acting in. There are some reasons as to why this happens - watch the show to find out.
Ha! I was about to ask the same question. I fast forward a lot in eps 29-30. But I was thinking of them faking…
that was one of the explanations I had. Because the Emperor looked like he had something up his sleeves. But the problem is we have no interactions between the Princess and the brother other than that she saved him in the secret hiding place during the coup d'etat. So, we don't know if he loved his sister very much.
Yes! I like the pairing of this FL with Jeremy and agree, he does overshadow his other FLs. I will check out her…
Give it a shot, I like investigative sort of plots and this one definitely has a good share of those. The only thing I didn't like is how they took the liberty to change the way the ML treated the FL in the drama. In the novel, he would never have done that, he had a lot of respect for her. Also bear in mind, the original novel was a time travel kinda plot. The FL was a seasoned forensic pathologist in the modern world. She was murdered in her office in the very first chapter and woke up in the ancient world, in the body of a frail 16 year old girl. It was literally an old head on young shoulders. But the C-drama couldn't do that so that part was changed.
can we also talk about Hu Yun Hao playing Xiao Zhao , he is just amazing.. I already loved his performance in…
i though he was a pretty good actor in Eternal Love of Dreams - costume drama, where he had a small but significant role as the God of the Underworld. His eyes are unusual but charming because they are shaped the way they are.

The FL was a bit overshadowed by Toby Lee IMHO. Bearing in mind, she was really a rookie then and Toby Lee does have a strong stage presence. But I love Ms Truth, so much so I google translated the Chinese Novel (which got abandoned half way, its English translation I mean)
So, I am really confused. Will it be really necessary to the rest of the 2 supposed episodes left? I feel that…
E29-30 are standalones, you could say. Really, you could stop watching at E28 for a HE of the modern couple. E29-30 merely put together all the scenes from the Grand Tutor. AND finally after they both die, there is a dream-like HE, where the Grand Tutor has given up his position and they both live happily ever after in some remote location far away from all the politics. But because of the hazy like quality, I am led to believe, that they both died and this is life-after-death. OR another possibility is that the Emperor, the Princess' brother arranged for them both to leave the palace, with her supposedly dying from poison and something to that effect for the Grand Tutor. But I find that second explanation a bit iffy because of the dream-verse scene.
Please spoiler the ending for me tomorrow.. thank you in advance 🥺🥺

In which episode, ML realized his love for FL in real life (after amnesia is over) ? Thanks in advance :)
Initially I think it's really curiosity on his part, so he googles for media information, he comes across the diary and reads what the Grand Tutor had written. He realises in E23 that he is sexually attracted to her, I think he gets urges when he sees her, a first for this much older guy. He gradually realises through little incidences like it gets to him when she cries, he gets jealous when he sees her with other men, the defining moment is when he recalls all memorise in E26 from the past (including the realisation that he was in love with her during the shooting of the Grand Tutor drama)....it's a build up I would say
Hi guys! I really like the background music on episode 14 in 22mins or so… do u know the music??? Appreciate…
me too, I've been trying to look under BGM for this drama, but nothing has come up so far. Let me know if you find anything, will ya? I had to record another section where she receives the letter in a later episode but this part which you pointed out has less conversation and features the music much more. Thanks for reminding me it's here.
I don't understand the point of 29-30, 95% of it are clips we already saw in previous episodes between the princess…
I was wondering as well tbh. Fan service? It should have ended at E28. But they added two extra, and there is no link between E28 and E29....it's like an after thought! And the ending of E30, dream? after life? That was the happy ending they described for the Grand Tutor and the Princess?
Are there actually plans for a second season or are you just hoping there is one? ^^'
not necessarily. I think it also depends on how well it is received. I suspect dramas end on a cliffhanger to allow the potential for a subsequent season if it sits well with viewers. But I have seen some where there is no Season 2, likely because it didn't do well, like Ms Truth, which also ended with a hint of a sequel. However, I think it didn't do that well in terms of rating, and thus there is none. As compared with Young Blood which was shot in 2019 also on a cliffhanger, (was quite popular) and no news until recently when each of the 4 leads did well in other dramas, and then MangoTV announced it would shoot a sequel for 12 episodes, reported to air in Q4 of 2022.
But i could not locate the entire box...
And the ending of E30, dream? after life? That was the happy ending they described for the Grand Tutor and the Princess?
