Same. Especially if the drama is darker or more serious. Chicago Typewriter was so hard to watch at times because of that. I do like it when characters have pets, but I would rather they just didn't. It's better for my heart.
What was the other drama if you don't mind my asking?

Is this worth watching?
If I decide to watch it I need to decide whether to watch it while it airs or wait so I can binge it...

I hope there will be a season two. I hope enough people have watched it for netflix to greenlight it.

Thank you! That's good, after watching ep 13 a couple weeks ago, I was concerned the ending was going to be extremely rushed when it said there was only 16 eps, since nothing had really been resolved.

Did this get extended or was there originally going to be 20 eps?

I'm having an internal conflict. I know that the general consensus from people is that it's following the manga closely, so a part of me wants to know what happens and the other part wants to just wait for the episodes. It's gotten so much worse after the latest episode.

I have to find something else to focus on and/or obsess over!

Doctors was a big eyebrow-raiser for me. I could look past it if he just happened to be her teacher and they met again years later and then developed feelings for each other. But there seemed to be feelings of some kind while she was still his underage student, and that just gave off a predatory vibe to me.

This is the first time in years that I've been hit with SLS. It might also be the worst case I've ever had. HELP ME!

If you referring to Ryu Jin in 'Was it Love?' I could make out some of what he was saying but the other parts I had absolutely no idea, I could only guess what he was saying. It's really annoying not knowing exactly what was said, even if it wasn't that important to the story.

This is just one of the other reasons why not subtitling English bugs me.

I agree with you about High Society, I only was watching it for the second leads and my sister was the same.

I get sick of evil second female leads in Korean dramas, especially when they view the FL as a love rival. I mean is it so hard to write a likeable second FL. They don't necessarily have to be on good terms with the FL, but can they at least not be a horrible POS.
I can think of a few other things but this is just one of the biggest things that I get so sick of.


One of the things that I hate with Chinese dramas is when basically every character dies in the final episode or 2. I've only encounted, or at least finished, one K-Drama where that happened. And that drama can go jump in a hole and die.

When you start a drama you must finish it, no exceptions, it's the law. Even if you hate it with a fiery passion or are bored out of your mind, or even if you've died and have become a ghost, you must find a way to complete it. Didn't you know that? ^^

You have no reason or need to apologise to people just because your opinion on the drama is different to theirs. If there were people that got offended by your perfectly reasonable and non-offensive article that's their problem. (I mean come on! You even had side notes to explain...) There will always be people that will disagree with you, so don't worry about it. It was an interesting article to read and it's nice to see a different perspective. I've never thought about drama lead pairings or 2nd male leads in that way before. ^^

Yes, you're correct. That's why I referred to the the regular one's as being more accurate, and not 100% true to translation. I think that with dramas on Netflix they try to make subtitles as appealing to Westerners as possible, especially people who aren't really Asian drama watchers or who haven't really watched many dramas before. I think that sometimes, by doing that, it can take a toll on the flow of a scene. Or even for veteran drama watchers when they're immersed in a drama, and they've watched enough of them to be able to somewhat understand what is being said but still read subs, they're ripped out of the story because something was translated completely wrong. This can even go for people who are completely fluent in the language.

Although it sucks I can't really be picky. If I want to watch dramas with subs, I have to take them where I can get them.

Sorry for replying so late. But yes, if you want the more accurate subs, use the regular English subs, not the CC.

Right?! I'm glad I could help. I wish I could have found out earlier on in the season or even better before I started. I thought that I was stuck with those subtitles, if only I had opened the audio/subs menu.

I mean yeah it's about the triad and sure they probably swear a lot. If it was a darker drama I could believe it. But there is no way that they would be swearing that much in this light-hearted, rom-com drama.
