Wow! What a coincidence! An hour or so ago I was showing my mother Ahn Jae Hong's workout scene and the presentation scene from ep. 5. To try and convince her to watch it. I love this drama, it's definitely one of my favourites. And one of the very few that I would go back and rewatch.

I think I do agree with you. Most of the people here are of the same opinion as yours. I feel its right to sympathize…
It's hard to say. I think if you're a patient viewer you might like it more, I only got like 2 and a half eps in so I'm clearly not a very patient viewer lol.
This is excerpt is from a review by https://kisskh.at/profile/amrita828 it's the kind of thing you should expect: "I have actually timed a scene: a character gets out of a taxi and walks unobserved on the road for as much as 65 seconds (try to count in your head and you’ll realize it’s an eternity). The camera stays still and the character walks. No close-up shot of the face expression, no weird or telling gate, no encounter to be remembered later on, just a walk that bears no significance whatsoever in the plot, except perhaps that it teaches us how people walk in Korea."

It's actually kind of funny to think of. But when you're actually watching that sort of thing it feels kind of maddening.

There is an endless amount of dramas to choose from with annoying mothers (maybe even more than annoying FL and ML). One mother that really peeves me off would be the mother from Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food. I haven't finished the drama and I don't know if I will because – while I do enjoy slice-of-life – it was a bit too boring and slow paced to hold my attention, so I don't know whether the mother changes or not, but from what I've seen she's horrible.

is there a season 2 coming?
A few comments below said there is going to be one. But I don't think there has been an official announcement from Netflix yet. It does depend on how many people watched and completed S1 within the first month or so of it's release.

I dunno if I'm just weird but I actually like the movie more (I do like the drama too). It gave me the same feels…
Mine is Love O2O. I love the drama but I also love the movie. I rewatch the movie when there is nothing I really feel like watching or if I'm in a drama slump.

This is a PSA: If you're watching on Netflix, and you are using English subtitles, be aware that there are 2 options for English subtitles. If you want the more accurate subtitles, DO NOT USE THE ENGLISH CC SUBS! Use the other ones.
After watching most of the series, (almost halfway through ep 6) and understanding just enough mandarin to wonder why the subs have been so wrong, I'd had enough. So I did some searching and I found out there are two options. I feel like I need to start from the beginning again. I guess I'll do a rewatch closer to the release of S2. *sigh*
