I absolutely loved this drama and i plan on reading the novel
Is the novel as good? Novel readers give me your opinions please 🙏

my opinion is quite different from yours. i find the ml acting better than fl. chen feiyu has quite expressive eyes and his character was the cold type so his stone expressions sometimes made sense to me but the fl's acting was quite lacking in this series especially towards the last episodes when she had to do emotional scenes.. but it is only this show i watched other shows of hers she does pretty well overall idk what was the deal with this one ( for eg yummy *3 , she did very well there.)

it’s indeed great visual, acting, ost and even a greater love but is it really necessary to showcase it through this kind of story? there’s other drama that similarly focuse more on romantic love than plot but the plot is still entertaining. i guss this drama was just not for me unfortunately, i really liked the leads its kinda a pity.

I’m genuinely confused. This drama definitely has one of the best chemistry and visuals between the main couple, and the male lead’s acting is beyond impressive, while the female lead is decent too. But a good drama should also have a solid plot. What exactly is so special about this storyline for it to have an 8.6 rating? Both the actor and actress are my favorites, and I like them a lot, but this drama truly baffles me. Is it really just a matter of different preferences, or is anyone else also confused about how such an underwhelming story received such a high rating? I’m obviously not hating on any of the cast, but the plot??

If sacrificing 5 years of my life could guarantee this movie flops, I’d give 10.

Because it’s painfully obvious from every detail that this live-action adaptation was made solely for profit, with zero respect for the original work. To us readers, the novel is so much more than just a story. Watching it being exploited by the production team purely for money is extremely offensive. From the casting choices to the storyline, it’s clear they’re just making a generic apocalypse movie and slapping the ORV name on it to capitalize on the novel’s popularity.

Question for the experienced watchers,
Is this worth watching so far? Or should i wait till the show finishes airing and read reviews?

If only he weren’t so spineless and indecisive, I would have liked him even more.

obviously the child is not his. If it was i wouldn’t support him being with xiao yao even if he died thousand times for her.

Indeed, it’s like his character was only made to be a good choice as Xiao Yao’s end game with no other depth to his character (although that doesn’t make me like them together any less)

For someone like Xiao Yao, who went through so much, a person with “no personality” like Jing, who gives her what she wants with no other motive, is what she needs.😊
