I'm just comparing character wise, its in character for her to be like this from my perspective

We started with CX trying to make her HIS person, but now hes slowly becoming HER person

I kinda prefer it this way though, because it shows shes trying to contain everything her entire life, whereas Ziyi who was spoiled has the privilege to be more expressive etc

YPJ has had so much happen to her within the past year or two, from losing her fiance of 4 years, being in a hostage situation, finding out her father tried to kill her twice, we need to cut her some slack imo.

Not to forget they tried to maul her with a dog, she got kidnapped by the Japanese, and her own sister out to get her every single episode (despite it never being her fault that CX made his own choice).

They will defo show it, she has to acknowledge it in order to be able to fall in love with him, like she has to fight herself mentally in some sofrt of way.

This is the same reason why Im not letting the music sway me, I think the music makes you assume that it has been glossed over and she suddenly cares for him out of nowhere.

I'm ignoring this completely, im comparing her trying to thank him the same way as when she went to apologise when she slapped him the first time round with the orphan case.

The music/and the way they directed it is very poor imo if they should not to address these themes, because it makes the audience seem stupid or that they should just accept it, which should not be the case.

Tbh I want to see more from him considering he is the one that sexually harassed her. Him letting her 'go' after realising that she would rather die than be with him or stalking her after shes come back from war, or saving her from the Japanese military is sub development to me. Other than his more mature stance, he is pretty much the same character tbh. He has always done everything and anything for her.

I'm glad she was able to step away from Xueting and realise he's a scumbag, and then she recognised that her mothers surgery was arranged by him so she went to thank him (despite all that occured between them - which was meh for me because like he traumatised her, BUT she was willing to go and still do it (but this has always been her character)).

They are pretty much the same people. The only difference is he has realised that he only wants to be with her, or no one else (rather than making her a mistress), and that she has learnt that Xueting is a scumbag. thats pretty much all imo.

I do think they will address it later on when he shows regret towards it for her, but it will probably happen later along the line

Like im not going to forget about everything because PJ is following him at the gates, you've put the sort of music to make us feel upset for her AND shes staring immensely

I haven't been able to leave a proper comment for days and its because I think Im just as confused as the characters are, like what is even happening at this point.

CX definitely has matured through war, but it still doesn't justify his past actions.

PJ feels somewhat indebted towards him, but shes almost pretending like none of what happened between them happened.

And the show writers using music to try sway the opinions of the audience (which some people will fall for), but its like we have seen everything, how do you ignore all of that just because the music feels a bit more intense

I think its the fact that shes feels indebted to him, but she also knows he has feelings for her? Its really messed up

I don't think I will ever recover from ep 14. I won't be able to forgive this ML. After all this how can the FL fall in love with him!!!! I can't continue with this drama, I am dropping it. Though I liked the cast, but it's unbearable at this point. How can an abuser and rapist is showing in this drama as an Ml! And we are supposed to like such character!

So far, I'm really trying to like this drama cuz of the main leads, but the whole r*pe situation I can't get over. I know they are going to go through a lot, and she will eventually realize she loves him, but before then I'm trying my hardest to continue for the actors.

No they are calling it rape on X and here, you just need to scroll enough. Saying attempted is much more acceptable, there are no issues with that.

Alot of people are coming over from social media to comment on this drama, and alot of people are calling him a rapist. Forcefully kissing her and harassing her are acts of sexual assault.

Sexual assault can lead to rape, but sexual assault is not Rape.

If you use the wrong terminology it can lead to affecting people in real life by minimising what has actually occurred. I sat in a jury case & the guy was almost not convicted at all because they believed it wasn't clear enough. Please be careful with terminology.

Thats the wrong definition of rape. Sexual assault yes but rape? no. Rape involves him actually doing it with her. You have to be careful with the words you use because they have real life definitions and can minimise real life accounts.

He has his 'fiance', and the actress. And for her there is his right hand guy, and her 'fiance'. Very complex
