I finished the first 2 episodes and really enjoyed it so far. So funny. Only thing is there's too much commercial on iqiyi and it freezes occasionally.

I understand in your case. I didn't read the novel so I accepted the drama ending. Also, the ending in any drama is never overly important to me. It's the journey from beginning til end that determines whether or not I like the story.

Yes, I love the background piano music. The singing was beautiful too, especially the male singer. Also, they did not over play the singing like some drama which can be annoying.

Much has been said about the ending already so I'm just adding my 2¢. They made the ending so that you can interpret it whichever way you want. If you want a happy ending, then it's happy. If you want a sad ending, then it's sad. I call this an appropriate ending because she was his cursed lady after all. So yes, I think the ending makes sense.

People tend to remember and focus on the negative comments. But there are also plenty of positive supports for Ren Min. Many of the negative comments come from shallow people who emphasize aesthetic values.

There were a number of questions recently regarding why Netflix has 43 episodes vs 40 episodes on Tencent. This got me thinking that this drama must received an exception/green light from China drama authority to lengthen some episodes in order to sweeze 43 episodes into 40 to conform to the episode limit. Then the question is were there any other drama recently that got the same treatment?

Zhu Yan also cut her hair for her parents when she left to get married , so how is that differed from Shi Ying?

How do they stretch the 3 extra long episodes into 3 additional episodes unless those extra long episodes were 40+ minutes longer?

Speaking of smooth sailing, what's the deal with the love arc between Shi Yu and Xue Ying? They met and felt in love within 10 minutes, then marriage arraignment soon after. When they were shown together, they were mostly all happy moments. Good thing they haven't taken up much screen time so far.

Nah, then that would be too boring. A smooth sailing relationship is good in real life but bad in movies/dramas.

I love all the cute and funny moments from this drama like the beginning of episode 26 when Shi Ying told Zhu Yan that "go down any further and you're dead" and she proceeded to spill water on him😅.
