There’s much discussion, disagreements on “chemistry” between the leads. That’s a touchy subject. “chemistry”…
I see ' chemistry' related questions asked and commented on every drama I watched. And I never understand how one can answer such questions because I totally agree with you that it's so subjective. One man trash is another man's treasure. If you asked "is there chemistry?" and one viewer said 'yes,' and another said 'no', then what? I think deep down if you don't like the lead(s) and want adifferent people to play the part(s) then you would likely say there's no chemistry
Nice! I think its even better in later episodes. ZY is a lot less 'immature', which seems to be a common complaint…
Yeah, I'm looking forward to watching more episodes. I'm behind you guys in episodes wached, so reading the comments has me excited for more. I actually don't find ZY annoying like some posters. I'd seen worse.
Episode 12 is hilarious with Shi Ying turns into a white fur ball. I'm liking this drama more and more with each new episode. Bai Xue Lu is a villain who doesn't blink an eye admitting that's she a villain. I kinda like that. Also, concubine Qing is elegant.
From the drama cover I guess red is Zhu Yan's signature color, but I feel pale blue green costume and pale color lipstick look much better on Ren Min than bright red dress and lipstick.
I'm at episode 11 and I like the pace of this drama so far. It takes the time to build the storyline and plot is easy to follow. I actually remember who's who which is rare for me in costume drama. Also, it does not bombard the viewers with cgi and overdone fight scenes which can be exhausting to watch if done excessively. And I always appreciate some humour in any drama.
Omg!!! That douyin of Ren Min & Xiao Zhan!!! Why are they so cute? Omg I love them 🥹🥹https://twitter.com/xiaozhvns/status/1679145181709492224?t=neSqf65bCS_zYzEErMewbg&s=19
Show them Ren Min. Xiao Zhan doesn't need any showing : )
Alen Fang alway got second male lead role heheh but I want he to face with Xiao Zhan soon let see how they will…
If they ever make a drama starting 2 brothers, they should cast Xiao Zhan and Alen Fang. Those two look handsomely alike in a preview clip posted earlier today.
In what episode did they have a baby? I am on episode "35". Am I crazy or is the editor/director which ever asking…
A few things in the drama were told and not shown. I guess if they had to show all those scenes, the drama would be too long and dragging. I didn't feel that YF was upset, more like she was feeling guilty and that she was part of the problem in their marriage. I actually thought it was clever that they didn't disclose that CHJ had a secret child with his mistress until Xiao Mei told XCS.
Fret not. For non VIP, the drama is released 1 episode each on every Tues-Sat. No release on Sun-Mon.
Thanks for the information. So by Tuesday Netflix would have catched-up and surpassed the non-vip episodes on WeTv providing that Netflix continues to release 2 episodes per day. Sweet!
Anyone knows what's the business deal between Netflix and Tencent because WeTv is not releasing any episodes today for non VIP viewers? I wonder if they'll lock all episodes now because of the Netflix deal? Netflix only has 6 episodes so far and although this gives me the opportunity to rewatch from the beginning which makes things much clearer, I'm anxious to continue.
On ep 7 and I can see why he doesn't want the busibody bird to see him in the hot tub, that beigy crickled shirt…
"a bare chest, no matter how puny". You have me laughing here, but you are probably right because Xiao Zhan got skinny for costume drama. And I'd thought Chong Ming looks like Big Bird (the actual yellow muffet bird) because of the head and his personality resembles Tweety bird.
don’t worry, we get chatty because it’s getting there… angst lol
And I appreciate reading all the chats and comments, but not the insults. I'm usually behind in the episodes but don't mind spoilers. To me it's the journey that's more important than the ending.
I think the drama followed the history period of China very well. So epidemic from the time line point of view…
I don't know, epidemic is such a dry topic that I'm not interested in and I do not want to see much of it either 😁. And even if it was part of the timeline it was not in sync with the theme and focus of the drama in my opinion so why even introduced it ? Oh well, to each their own.
And I apologize ahead to the health care viewers out there.
