Episode 24 is intense. Dr. Yang has balls and go LZX - gives Dr. Gu an earful. The second and third couple' stories aren't well flushed out. But the lead couple is good and that's what matters most.
I'm in 16th episode now and so far i really enjoyed this drama. I purposely delayed watching it because i didn't…
Is 10 years age difference much thought? Obviously, it's more noticeable if you compare a 10 year old to a 20 year old, but between a 21 and a 31 I don't think the difference is very noticeable.
I'm still on episode 16 but the amount of throat clearings in this drama is ...really high, and 90% is by Dr. Gu. I pay attention to weird things like that๐. I feel a bit sorry for doctor Gao. I wish they give her character more scenes. She's elegant.
I watched the first episode when the drama began broadcasting but was away and couldn't continue. Now I'm trying to catch up. So far, I quite enjoy the drama. It has right amount of humor and seriousness, and the pace is just right. The comments are mostly positive and I concur.
The drama did not explicitly tell us but China has upgraded and advanced their military so much that they now have a group of generically engineered soldiers who can go for days without food and water and still fight like Rambo ๐๐
Almost caught up. Just finished episode 17. It was such a good episode, especially the GYY's arc. I agree with others about Xiao Zhan's fantastic acting so far.
Thank you, it's a good song like the ending ost from xiao zhan and tan wei wei. I find it's interesting that most Chinese actors and actresses can sing too.
Finished! The last episode aired today. Here's my verdict - I quite like it.
The first half, episodes 2-20, are light and a bit slow, but watchable with the help of the subtle humor. Each episode after that gets progressively better. The plot is more developed and Tang San gets center stage. This series has some major elements that I look for in any costume drama: light in the romance aspect, heavy in the mystery and conspiracy departments. Beautiful sceneries and good special effects.
As for the ending, I'm ok with it. I don't feel it ends in a cliff hanger. Obviously, it would be better if there is going to be season 2 to continue the journey, but I think season 1 can stand on its own.
And oh, Tang Hao and Tang San is one sexy father - son duo
I liked Xiao Wu. The way the screenwriter/director made her character, she's not as annoying as the female lead…
I just finished episode 28 and i think it's cute the way she acted jealous and pouted when the poison master 's granddaughter said she was going to kiss Tang San. Xiao Wu's character can be a bit annoying at times, but the actress herself is fine. People should give her some slack
I don't know if this is true or not but I feel the criticism of actress Betty Wu is a bit unjusted. I don't have…
Good thing I pay more attention to the guys. Just bring back the same Tang San and they can cast anyone they want for FL. My bias is showing. I know :)
This drama is popular and gonna have season 2 with xiao zhan, but maybe there wpuld be a change with actress that…
I don't know if this is true or not but I feel the criticism of actress Betty Wu is a bit unjusted. I don't have a big problem with her acting but I don't care for the way they write her character. The way she portrays the innocent naive character is kinda cute, it's just that her character is too naive to the point of annoying, and she's too clingy to Tang San. Don't Chinese dramas have any normal personality female leads? But after suffering through the most annoying FL in The Wolf, Xiao Wu character is a bit more tolerable .
