Err...it's not as black and and white as you are making it out to be. There are no definite set of rules that would put fanfics into legal or illegal box (speaking from US laws point of view, I do not know china's stance on it).
Frankly, as I said before, if you think fanfics are illegal then fanart and comics are illegal as well and you can't excuse one without taking the other into account.
As for me, I enjoy consuming both the art and the writing as I think of it as a way for people to give back to the fandom via their creativity and at the end of the day, it only brings joy. If mxtx had a problem with people writing fanfictions on her book, then yeah, that would have been an issue. But it's like free advertising at this point so no one would really bother with it.

I also haven't seen supernatural after S7 but I was always very supportive of the ship. I think in the script it was something like "Dean does not reciprocate". Not sure how true that is lol.

Aw haha they are the main character of this veryyyy popular show called Supernatural. Jensen plays the character of Dean and Misha plays the role of Castiel. A LOTTTTTT of people shipped the two together but the show never really wanted to make them canon so after 10ish years, one of the characters confessed his feelings and the internet exploded because of that.
