A lot of people don't really get into it till mid way or ever further down but almost all of them come out of it completely in love. I don't think you should treat it as another "hyped" drama because then you are already going into it biased but instead try to focus on the story (which hasn't even begun yet, might I add). I strongly advise you to continue because the drama will for sure end up surprising you. If you want, you can share the parts of the show that you are enjoying and parts that you don't like as much so the fans here can help you figure out if it's going to be your liking or not.

I agree with Suibian. I do understand jiggy's motivations and his trauma but I do not sympathize with him. He is like xue yang, both suffered a horrible childhood but then ended up doing things way, way worse than what could be justified as just revenge: they actually harmed the people who loved them sincerely. I understand that jiggy's past might have desensitized him towards positive human emotions but as much as I feel for young jgy, I cannot excuse what he did to people around him, no matter the motivations :( I just wish he had been treated better by the people around him but oh well, isn't that the whole tragedy of cql? It's funny because had jgs given jgy what he rightfully deserved, jin clan would have flourished even more because crazy as he was, jgy was a damn good sect leader. (cql jiggy was even more villainized in order to make wwx the "hero" so that also sparks a whole another debate.)

Okay so, in the first part of the video everyone is giving wwx birthday presents (JC, wen ning, lsz etc.) . WWX is very happy after receiving those gifts. Then lwj comes...wrapped as a present lol and he is just oozing love (all those hearts) and wwx gives him the biggest, warmest, most loving smile. Then they both sit together and wwx opens his presents and lwj kisses his cheek!
