yeah it's been discussed a lot how jgy, xy and wwx started out the same but their lives took a different path as they grew up. wwx could have very well turned into jgy or xy but he didn't because he was allowed to a have some semblance of "family" and had shijie by his side (which messed him up in a different way tho) while the others had to face the cruelty of the world all by themselves.

Yep! Me too! I think out of all the characters(excluding lwj), he is the one who had the best positive character development . It's a shame we didn't get to see more of him and the impact that development would have had on people around him :(
He is not a fav character of mine but he did deserve a lot better than he got. So did Yanli but oh well.
Yeah in the novel yanli is described as plain and not a beauty but she's quite beautiful in cql.

I cannot believe cql gave us SPOILERS for the wholeass show in the first two episodes and we all just collectively forgot about it by the time the flashback ended. Absolutely brilliant. genius. marvellous.

Oh Xue Yang is definitely one of my favorite characters. I love how complex he is. You want to pity him but also don't want to do it because of all the horrific things he's done.
