liked the start. there’s good cinematography and visuals. it went downhill real fast. the plot is the overused classic ‘fated lovers’ and I might’ve ate this up in 2017. rn I’m just tired.
rewatched it recently and this has the best melodrama/romance to this day. The actors put their soul into the characters like oml were they even acting? crazy. I realise the actors rn don’t compare to actors back in the day. jo in sub and song hye kyo were absolutely phenomenal.
Funny of you to mention the "political dark subjects" when we have both a politician plot here as well as murder…
nothings politically dark abt the storyline jus cuz there’s a politician and a murder lmao💀 it’s just a fantasy romcom where the mc has a past. political dark genre insinuates dramas like the glory, mask girl, DP with more serious dialogue revolving around these storylines.
What is the theory on why she hears him saying he didn't kill as a lie
I think she hears it as a lie because deep down the main lead believes he did kill his ex, despite the reality. his guilt probably fuels that and makes it seem a lie despite the actual facts
This is giving early 2016 fantasy romcom and it’s so good. I missed it when dramas were just simple, romantic and cliche. kdramas have had a surge of more political, dark subjects and I was kinda over it. I’m so happy with this one. the leads are so cute and the plot is interesting.
