Some of y'all are forgetting this is based on a webtoon and it shows. The directors can't change the whole story…
How closely does the season 2 episodes follow the webtoon? Because there's such a big difference between the s1 and s2 episodes that it's almost like a completely different story.
This gives me the same feels as psychopath diary but they aren’t the same. It’s super funny
They have similar vibes. Psychopath Diary had lots of great funny moments, but was definitely darker and more violent. Zombie Detective is much lighter.
Such a fun series. Definitely did not expect it to be so hilarious, yet very emotional as well. Choi Jin Hyuk was so good here. My only criticism is they could've done more cases of the week. Perhaps if it had been 16 episodes. A season 2 would be awesome, but sadly I don't think the ratings will encourage KBS to do so.
Considering their circumstances, I wish they had done more with Soo Ah and Ha Joon's relationship. I'll say more…
Like, the moment with Dong Jae saving Soo Ah and overcoming his phobia is amazing. But considering both Soo Ah and Ha Joon go through similar emotions, including thinking about self-harm, I think it would've been so impactful if it were Ha Joon who saved Soo Ah in the end.
Ha Joon, having been able to overcome his own thoughts of self-harm, sees Soo Ah feeling maybe the same things he felt once before. I loved that scene of them two the night of the "grape juice" party. They relate to each other. And it would've been a nice, profound progression for Ha Joon's character to help someone else.
I guess it had to do with them pushing the triangle. So they couldn't have Ha Joon and Soo Ah developing something. Soo Ah hanging around Dong Jae at the end was really unnecessary.
Perhaps if the show was 16 episodes, they could've fleshed everything out a little more. They had enough material to do it.
