I am personally a Ml/Fl enthusiasts and I will always root for them,. I cant watch a show if i dont like Ml/Fl but the main reason I dont get affected by SLS is bcuz i usually find seconds leads annoying and their stories really bland. It's like the story is telling me to feel bad for them and like their sad pityful story.
I specially hate the one who wait for the Ml to appear to confess their love like really? Or when the fl/ml is trying to set boundaries with them, they ignored them or try to tell them their feelings. Or still act on the Fl/ml behalf.
And I very much hate the nice guy trick! Like he's nice and caring to the Fl that doesn’t mean she have to like him back?!? Like friendship is as good as relationship, if not better.
And finally, the female secondary lead be so evil/cruel for no reason and they be doing the most stupid thing for a guy.
I have gotten SLS twice lol and never again. If I like the SL when I start a drama, I drop it lol.

How is this show westernized, it just include other race and nationality characters in it, its a basic kdrama with a basic friendship and romance plot that you find in most kdrama. From what I know korean people are not the only people who live in Korea, therefore multirace show isn't a western idea.
