Spin doesn't have to continue the story or add anything Canon to it. The direct relation between Mr.qeeen and bamboo forest is that the setting, the characters but it take a whole other narrative: what if the king and queen saw each other beforehand? Or how So Yoon personality was already on crack before the chef transmigrate into her body. What if everyone was on good terms with each other?
That's what Mr.qeen bamboo forest was meant to be and if you watch it carefully it have no specific timeliness nor a direct story. It was just an easy/lazy put together work that wasn't mean to be serious, but fun enough to thank the people who love and watch Mr.queen. Well, spin-off doesn't mean it continued the story nor the does it mean to add to the story line lol. A spin- off meaning(from google) produce something new based on a popular television program, movie, personality, etc. So, yeah ur the one lacking them brain cells. It was just some cute moments with no actually plot nor storyline. It doesn't take that much to understand lol.
Not to be that person but it's not a spin off but just some cute moments. As you can see some of the little episodes did not correspond with the time frame of the drama bcuz it's not a SPIN OFF. Just some cute moments bcuz the drama got very popular and people didn't want to stop watching it,so they give us an additional 2 episode that had actually nothing to do with the storyline. If you have some brain cells, you'll be able to understand what I'm saying ??. Did it make sense that BI was willing to talk to everyone even though he hate them?
