It’s not finished. We will know next week. My guess is yes.
It looked really hilarious seeing General Hang dancing in 2020 style. He stood out with a head above everyone, swaying like a genie from the magic lamp! Not looking too serious!!
I agree, she should have handled the knife threat easily. I honestly found it silly and just fast forwarded that…
Another part that is questionable: academy students were able to beat up Luo Qiu Chi lying on the ground! OK, the student approached LQC and kicked him in a lurch. At least a half dozen students punched and kicked him. And injured him, I suppose! Really!? This is the king of Dong Yi Mountain! Remember the first few episodes where LQC competed in kung-fu with a group of students, then later with a group of soldiers led by General Hang and Fu Yuan Zi. Then, later rescued academy students from bandit attack!
Did we have a different writer all of a sudden? Viewers and readers remembered the LQC from these heroic episodes. Now the writer(s) couldn't remember the one-man gang LQC, now being reduced to a helpless groundhog? Where is the first episode writer? Still around for the better finish? Nonsense!
I have been liking this drama all along and have not complained about it until the last few episodes. Quite a few incidents should caused the writer(s) fired. The foreign prince all of a sudden had the kung-fu skill that matched Luo Qiu Chi, who was much better than that of Wen Ren Juan. Then, why did the prince need WRJ to rescue him. Nonsense!
Luo Qiu Chi was set to be burnt. Wen Ren Juan shook off the chain trying to rescue LQC, but Fu Yuan Zi took out a dagger to threaten WRJ and she seemed to submit to the threat. It really made WRJ looked like a weakling all of a sudden. Come on! Wen Ren Juan was very skillful. Watching your lover being burnt, WRJ shouldn't act like a coward! Did she really love LQC? Unless she's extremely afraid of FYZ's dagger, she ought to apply the maximum kung-fu skill master Lu taught her to fight with FYZ. Instead, she cried for help and followed FYZ away. Nonsense! General Hang's presence should pump up the fighting spirit. This is the time to rescue LQC, not backing off with fear! The writer instead opted for the illogical plot!
Also YAY for the prince to give up without too much of a fight. You have redeemed yourself somewhat in my books.…
I was quite disappointed on the part where WRJ's kung-fu master Lu Xing Yun showed up to rescue LQC and WRJ from being poisoned on their big night. He was supposed to be away for good! Was it that actor Huang Hai Bing still had some slack in his contract to complete. There was no account of him being told of the big night together. Neither did the perpetrator was informed and added poison. General Hang and Qing He's romantic goodwill went to waste! Whether it was intended or accidental, it's still kinda flimsy plot to push through near the conclusion of a drama. The lovebirds looked fabulous together and should have at least gotten a photo together before being poisoned. Then, let the lovebirds savor and fancy their wedding night! Boo......
Also YAY for the prince to give up without too much of a fight. You have redeemed yourself somewhat in my books.…
With so much troubles occurred along the way, LQC and WRJ finally had their uneventful wedding near a cliffside. They announced the done-deal wedding to WRJing. WRJing mildly objected that it should be more elaborate. WRJuan rebutted claiming that WRJing and WRJuan's mama set the example for having their own simple wedding done without festivity long ago. She just wanted to get it done!
LQC took out the wedding rings and placed them on their thumbs. Perhaps, thumbs in those days were RING fingers. In many places in ancient Chinese kingdoms, the fingers were called big finger (thumb), eating finger (index), middle finger, unnamed finger (modern-ring) and little finger (pinky).
He shows up in the first few episodes. He is reciting poetry and kind of hit on A'juan at some kind of night market.
It was the annual Flower God festival of Qing Zhou Town. This self-learnt master scholar from Qing Zhou Town was named Zhou Meng. He was attracted by Wen Ren Juan and tried to invite her for a ride with him. His aggressive invitation was stopped by Lu Qiu Chi, who continued to be interested in making her his mistress (madam) of his Dong Yi Mountain estate. (How dare you trying to date my Madam?!) Then Tiger and Mouse woke up Zhou Meng about her status. He's just a genius in Qing Zhou who wanted to start a small school to educate youngsters from poor families.
Han Dong plays Zhou Meng in a limited role. I doubt he would be in later episodes. I could be wrong.
I'm on Episode 20, and this show pulls at my heartstrings. I love the main couple, and the second lead couple…
Haha! May your wish come true! I can't wait to see you can't wait until all that will happen after episode 20 of QQZJ! Good luck in your paper and exam!
I don’t think I’ve seen this episode yet. Is this after the tournament?
Yes, after the tournament, a few things developed in my ep 35 ending up with a subplot to hurt LQC and WRJ. That freaky WRJing first wife needs to be expelled. I'm really into this - petition to lock her up in the bandits' den for good! WRJing needs some vitamin D3 to fortify his backbone!!!
I had the exact same thought! Also, why WRJ didn't try to help out, like girl you know kung fu, isn't protecting…
What else is new? That prince grabbed WRJ's hand while he was resting in her bedroom after she rescued him from bandits. Her kindness and compassion attracted him, plus LQC's jealousy further ignited his greed for all her goodness!
I had the exact same thought! Also, why WRJ didn't try to help out, like girl you know kung fu, isn't protecting…
Absolutely shocking! This was almost a feudalistic society, definitely not 2020! Who's the boss? Wen Ren Jing, an extremely high ranking powerful governmental official, had the bile to take in Wen Ren Juan's mama as a second wife. He had to endure the slap of a lifetime!?! That could happen perhaps his wife might be a lion mama, an heir of the imperial family! Even so, WRJing should have returned a right and a left and then doubled up. That mama needed some big-time behavioral fixing! Maybe after 4 slappers, she might reveal her ultimate ferocious personality! Instead, WRJing was reduced into a Weak Ridiculous Jing-a-ling (WRJ). Can we rewrite?
Regardless of the outcome of duels, there is a flaw in the story. When Lu Qiu Chi used the whip to attack the foreign prince, the prince actually took away LQC's whip with his bare hand. Here is the scoop: the prince was abducted by bandits earlier and Wen Ren Juan single-handedly whipped the bandits with a tree branch to rescue the prince. Consider LQC's kung fu is way better than that of WRJ. Unless the prince was ambushed by bandits, he would not be better than WRJ . It's a miracle that the prince could dissolve LQC's signature whip maneuver!!! Any thoughts??
I can see everyone's doing quite well, except for Uncle Yan! He's such a dead dude! And how in the world does…
WRJ should frame that twig to commemorate her first ever defeat of a horde of bad dudes all by herself! Most satisfying really! I can't wait to see her pulling out her mom's sword!!
After clearing some cobweb here, here I am. Back to catch up on new episodes! I was hoping to wait it out long…
I can see everyone's doing quite well, except for Uncle Yan! He's such a dead dude! And how in the world does a foreign prince end up so hurt with an entourage of bodyguards, I hope?! Is he like the juvenile emperor - hangs out on his own due to boredom?! Funny thing is - they end up meeting our fantasy novelist WRJ!
And don't mess around with our novelist-kungfu mama. She cleared them bandits with a twig and whipped them good! Ouchie!!!
After clearing some cobweb here, here I am. Back to catch up on new episodes! I was hoping to wait it out long enough, I'll be watching straight to the last episode!
International episode ended with Ru Xue agreeing to let Qing He send him off. Our beloved second couple have been…
