Aww you presented them so poetically. I agree completely. They are indeed all gray and this makes it entertaining and real. This drama sort of remind me of Another Oh Hae Young: messy + funny + real and a hit or miss for the audience

No not really. I could also tell you that sometimes minding your own business makes you look like the most selfish person like in the case when he sees the scar on JH's face and says nothing and does nothing as if it didn't matter at all while the FL who is an outsider who should not have cared at all was extremely bothered and angry for JH because she unconsciously cares for JH. Sometimes love is expressed with anger and JH's love is anger towards DH not wanting the best of the best for himself because he doesn't know better as DH didn't open up to JH yet. They will eventually have a heart to heart talk which is really all they need to see each other's perspectives. If JH wanted to be selfish he could just marry a heiress and take the company forcefully after gathering enough allies on his side. He doesn't need anyone's approval. He just wants the world for his brother because that's what he thinks would make DH happy. Moral of the story : JH is an idiot

I just suddenly remembered how he carried her little bag on his shoulder while they were both full blown angry on the last scene of episode 4 and how randomly intimate that looked ahaha

I think it's because you literally experienced it so you have a justifiably stronger opinion to their interaction. I am sorry you went through that and hope you're feeling freer. In any case DH doesn't own JH anything but JH is not actually manipulating his life as much as I've seen some parents doing in other dramas. He's just an arrogant fool who goes around thinking "I know how to protect him better. He doesn't know anything and doesn't even need to do anything. All he has to do is accept his blessings and be under my wings etc etc". That's because he's a fool really because he doesn't know about DH's sexuality. If he had him tailed like the rest of the family he might have even figured out by now but he's just angry that DH is not accepting all the "blessings" given to him as he thinks that's the only way to be strong and have nobody look down on them because of their past

I don't need to give excuses because JH's entire life purpose and way of bring is the excuse in itself. Does that mean he's not behaving selfishly as well? Sometiems loving someone in a forceful way can be ironically very selfish. This is what JH is guilty of

To be honest nobody is treating the FLs wrongly. 2FL and FL are both intelligent and independent women who can make their own decisions and the MLs have all been straightforward about their decisions and the FLs involvements so I am not sure we need to victimise anyone

There are helicopter parents as well. They are not all selfish jerks. People love and protect their dearests in different way thinking they know better at times. It's not all black and white. We have all the valid reasons to call DH selfish instead but it's a matter of perspectives

They are clearly colourblind because he is coldblooded only in certain cases, not with people he cares about. People are not black and white. He's a gray character. In any case he has been nothing but honest with her on top of being the one who fell first so no.

And everything you said is what makes this drama so darn entertaining to me because in any other circumstance they are two very rational people with their own goals in life but they are complete fools when they are together and towards each other and it's just a heartwarming mess to me ahaha
