nah, if i would have rated the feelings, i would have went for 5-6 and only for the first episodes where i enjoyed their life in lin'an and later for the dynamics between wimin and qiaoqiao. the rest was bad, for me, the plot it was good but not well developed. i feel like they kind of dragged things out in lin'an, so the end was rushed. i literally was skipping scene after scene, even when ml was fighting his uncle, i was like "meh". the potential was there, it had the best opening episodes ive seen. i went to a 8.0 cause i had more expectations from this drama
Finally, i finished the drama. At first i gave it a 10/10, but i think i will review it an 8 now.
For me, the only good part - was the relationship between qi min and yu qianqian. Their story was better, in my opionion, than the leads'. While they were in Lin'an, they had plot and chemistry, i loved it, but after they left, the plot started to go down. I feel like the marquis did not do anything - he kept injuring himself one way or another and i was having enough of it at ep 35 💀 also, the fact the fan changyu was a butcher with some martial arts that goes into war and kills 2 big generals?! Man, that's really not realistic at all. I mean, yea, maybe she can survive, but really, kill generals that have been at war for more years that she has been alive..? Meh... the leads' plot was for me just the names and the facecards - cause that's all zhang linghe did.. he served face, and he did really well, but you can't expect me to like a marquis who's been rumored to be feared by all that did nothing in times of war?!
Now, talking about qi min and qu qianqian' story - a masterpiece. I love a dark romance, with black flags and qi min was everything i've ever wanted. I think qianqian liked him too, (but she also hated him).
His ending i feel it was lame?!? I mean he staged a coup but we never saw his army?? But his dying was something that made me cry after I finished watching the episode.
