i cried like there was no tomorrow for Xia Jing yan. he stole the spotlight - made the drama interesting again when i was starting to lose focus. the rest of the plot was meh - main lead syndrome - they always live if the end is made to be happy, even though they are burried and slashed by swords..

justice for my man, for the best couple in this drama!!! i didnt like the princess in the first 30 eps, but after she started the affair with jingyan, she started growing - their story was what i've been expecting from arranged marriages, from enemies to lovers. pity, there wasn't enough screen time, neither a happy ending.
rated the drama 8/10 but the second couple story was 11/10 for me. would love to see a full lenght drama like that

i've said it and i'm saying it again: he suits red flag so much, i just wish he could drop the fluffy dramas. i literally have a crush on him, and i've started watching cdramas again ONLY BECAUSE I WAS OBSESSED WITH HIM IN THE UNRELEASED (at that time) drama. hope he gets big in the future, he deserves it.

am i the only one that is not really hookes ok this drama? i'm not talking about the whole sa plot.. literally thats why i first watched it.

the kisses are just.. there. no emotion, no passion. they are just 2 children smooching / no, they have more passion.
2 cardboards. i was thinking they would be like this only in the beginning, but they literally fked and they just touched lips. i really did not feel the heat, the need with them.

i skipped through the drama. wanting to see something. maybe not the sorn "i get hard when you use tongue" but ... it is just 0. i am really dissappointed in this drama. just a waste of time. i was going to drop it before, but i've seen on X the scenes with the couples. they were dissapointing as well.

for me is a 9.9/10 (3 episodes at the moment). that 0.1 was taken because i would really love to see subs of the chanting instead of (chanting). i have never watched something like this before, but i like the plot. i'm curious if they will focus more on the relationship between the 2 leads, or keep the plot going with a little romance. i'd like the second version 🤭

Can't understand why people are saying this drama is bad. for me, this is one of DGZ's best works, if not the best. i was screenshoting for a friend to see how he serves face in every minute, but even i was astonished at how beautiful he was. i'm not talking about the FL, i really dis not like her. she was really bland, did not match his energy at all. im sorry, but if the ML is hungry, you can't make the FL water... she was there just to make him shine (for me). people say he did not act well, and it was boring. literally you can see how he shifts between happy to sad, to curious, to mortified, to serious, to killer, to "id have tou for dinner", to betrayed, to "i can be your dinner".

yes, OFC HE IS HOT, he knows that, and we know that. im pretty sure it is not accidentally that he has so many shirtless scenes and costumes. fan service, i call it. the body is bodying, im really shocked i can't see some tongue in dramas never - and i'm not talking about kissing, i really don't need tongue in DGZ's kiss scenes, they are perfect, BUT HOW CAN YOU TELL ME YOU'RE KISSING HIS NECK, TOUCHING HIS ABS BUT YOU DON'T LICK?!? mannnn, i would wash him with my saliva wtf.

ofc, the plot is not as good as it was presented at first. maybe it was a little boring - ofc i knew he wouldnt die, but wasnt she supposed to die too? meh, i wanted some biting, blood licking, blood sucking...

would watch again only for DGZ. for me he really did his best. let's just not forget these are mini dramas, so they will never be as good as full-lenght dramas. i just wish i could see DGZ in more dark, red-flag dramasssss. he has the face, body, and potential for that 🥰🤭

to have king Dai Gao Zheng as a supporting character seems crazy to me 🙈🙈 he ML has to really put in the effort 💞💞

actually, this may be the role he had to play. ive seen it in others filipino/thai dramas where the ml had to be nonchalant and kinda a red flag. adter i watched the drama (one year ago? maybe 2? idk if it was released then:))) ) i followed him on insta. hes such a cutie with heaven (they are a real life couplee) so i really think he played the role pretty accurate 🩷 he was hot ngl ;)))

6.5 for me. the start was so strong, i really loved it. (i actually like red/black flags ml) so i really enjoyed the revenge plot he had going at the start. after they started to like each other and be fluffy i got bored. the plot went down the drain. too many plotholes(like the execution one) gave the rating solely for the ML. he was hot

i was thinking the best thing to come after this drama would be a sequel with Chu Zhao and Xu Ping Ting. a nice plot where she would try to hate him for he killed her father, and him trying to get over his first love. never seen anything like this before.i hoped at least they would get a chance - he keeping her in his mansion, and slowly accepting her - but they had her kill his maid.... i really would have loved this plot. does somebody know some dramas with a plot like this?

LITERALLY WHAT I WAS SAYING. THE ENDING WAS SO BAD I CANT UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE SAY IT IS THE BEST DRAMA. Man, it was so dissapointing i skipped through the last 20 minutes, literally useless plot and for what? i prefer the dramas where the main lead dies with a scope/reason. the ending was just bullsh**z just like FL's mom's death.
gave it a 7, the ending was worse than the emperor. loved the male lead tho'.

i saw somewhere on tiktok that shangjue and his lover break up, him letting go after finding out shes pregnant. im still at ep 2 🥲
