In the novel Put is not an ex boyfriend. Put is Ae’s friend she played match maker for Pat and Put. They just made Put ex in the show for drama purpose which I understand.

when Jeng finds out Phat is dating someone else he starts to avoid Phat for weeks because he didn’t want himself to get even more hurt by staying beside Phat. FYI in the book, Phat and Jeng at this point had a really close relationship than the series. They texted each other and ate lunches and sometimes even had dinner together. Jeng would always drop off Phat at his place, always sitting or be near Phat. Jeng became someone who was always beside Phat helping him to learn and change for better. So when Jeng started to ignore him, Phat couldn’t take it. Phat was desperate to have any kind of interaction with Jeng. And he even broke up with Put because his head was filled with only Jeng. He was miserable. Then the scene from the series happens many problems arises in the set because Forge team was being asshole again. And all Phat could think if only Jeng was here it would have helped him to calm down just seeing Jeng would have been enough for him. So after the hectic day Jaab decides to drop Phat to his home but before that Jaab had to stop at his and Jeng’s personal condo. As Phat was waiting for Jaab and thinking about Jeng he saw jeng was taking a stroll and talking on the phone. When their eyes meet Phat loses it he starts to cry and even Phat himself was shocked how much he was crying and confused about his feelings and then hug happened and Phat stayed at Jeng’s place that night

The changes they made are reasonable however they need to speed up the pacing otherwise they will have to rush by a good deal and those are the parts us viewer want to watch. If this was a longer series it would’ve been fine but with 5 episodes remaining they still have lot to unpack. It will be a crime not to show mains romance to its height unless they are planning a second season which seems very unlikely?

This is my opinion the part where Phat cries is more meaningful and sad in the book. He doesn’t actually cry because of work he cries because of Jeng. I am a bit upset they removed a good and important scene and made Phat cry in the series just for work. I should lower my hope on the series I don’t think they will be able cover or may even change my most anticipated scenes.

But as a show, this series is good. I am still enjoying it. Impatiently waiting for episode 8, confession scene is coming~

I don’t think even in episode 9 they will get together because there is another plot they will have to cover. So if I were you I would keep my expectations low about ep 9. This should have been 14 episodes. After Pat and Jeng gets together there are so much material of them as couple and little problems that sometimes arises and they face it together. It will be such a pity not to see their domestic life in its full glory 🤭let’s hope the show runners made the right choice of including the most doki doki scene from the novel and maybe give us a special episode of them being hus…🫣

Tuesday feels so lonely without Jeng and Pat

Again it is your mind that took my words out of context when it is clearer we are talking about two adults. No need to show off your moral policing where it is not needed. The problem with my generation is that everything, no matter how clear the subject matter is, you need to be spoon feed every little details. And no need for gaslighting. My personal take he was jealous of Jeng because according to him everything was provided to him the moment he was born and Put had to work hard from the moment he was born to even get to the position he was in. I personally don’t think Put knew or understood that Jeng is interested in Phat. But everyone have different perspectives regarding that scene.

Put and jeng and everyone was there for block shot.. well Jeng was there because he got jealous lol. Both Jeng and Put are acquaintances and have met and worked before so it makes sense when Put found out Jeng was their he went to greet him.

I think they meant the shopping trip that Phat and Jeng went to . Everyone well the novel readers are calling in not official Ikea date -date lol because it is to Ikea they go for shopping though series didn't mention any name I think for legal reasons.

I understand it is giving You the icky. You also have to understand the difference between "your crush who is your employee and who you have a power dynamic over" and "using the power dynamic to abuse and exploit your employee" which Jeng is not doing. Also, you phrased it as if it is illegal for two office employees to have a relationship. Yes, it is not encouraged as it might lead to favoritism and conflict of interest but that is not the case every time. Some people can balance it and some can't but up to ep 6 Jeng is keeping it very balanced. The time he is spending to know and court Phat is after working hours. And he only started getting close to Phat in a romantic way in episode 6. How would you want him to get close to Phat? He is not touching Phat and always asking for Phat's consent when asking personal questions, never behaving like a typical jealous male alpha we see in Thai bl, and keeping an appropriate distance. Even during that chair and hat-wearing scene have you seen how much distance there is between the two?

Also, didn't you read the description of the show? It is clearly stated it is a romance between a manager and an employee. Also, episode 1 gave away who our main pairing is so it actually doesn't make sense about the thing you are feeling weird about. But yes it is your opinion and I respect that. So I hope if you continue to watch the series you will find enjoyment in it. ☺

People’s feelings can’t be controlled i hope you know that? It is not wrong to want to spend time with your crush. It becomes icky when person tries to push or force their feelings to the other person or pulling his boss card to threaten Phat date him. Jeng is doing none of those instead we saw in episodes 6 he taught Phat to stop being considerate of other people’s feeling and say no to something he is not comfortable with. This can be seen as a sign and power that Jeng gave to Phat so when times come and Jeng confesses and if Phat is uncomfortable he can say NO to Jeng without any hesitation.

Also no one is saying your opinion or emotions are invalid or wrong. It is perfectly okay to have a conversation with others who don’t share your views and have a respectful agree to disagree situation.

Both Phat and Jeng are adults what is icky about it? They both had a mutual attraction the first time they met but Phat took the backseat with his attraction because he found out Jeng is his boss and heir of the company and a strict boss who lacks interpersonal communication skills and completely different from the kind gentleman he mistakenly spilled drinks on. Where else in the eyes of Jeng, Phat is the same as when they first met except he is hypersensitive. Phat is cute and attractive and he is good at his work or else none of the seniors would’ve made him do all their works and he is hardworking. Phat is lively and bright completely opposite from Jeng. It is because of Phat honesty and his courage of speaking up to Jeng that he realised the way he was treating his department employees was not right and is probably demotivating his employees and he took Phat’s advice and now look he has a appropriate friendly relationship with his employees. It wasn’t until episode 5, Jeng didn’t realise he is probably in love and sees Phat as a romantic interest. Ep 2 to 5 was literally both Jeng and Phat slowly learning and teaching and changing each other for better and forming a sort of friendship and it is on episode 6 we start seeing Jeng has started to slowly court Phat. Unfortunately in Phat’s head Jeng is out of his league and there can never be anything between them except a boss and subordinate relationship.

They do end up dating for a short period of time ( same as the novel except Put wasn’t an ex in the novel but a friend of Ae who play’s match maker for Phat and Put in a blind date) and this will make Phat realise he might have not have same strong feelings for Put as before.
