You hit the nail right in the head - a lot of shows actually have very thin material.
Yes, i dont mind producers adding up extra fanservice episode after the series aired, i even think its a nice way to close out a series and say goodbye to characters we got attached to, however its not the same as stetching a supposed to be 10 or 12 episodes into 20 and yes adding those eyerolling pacute-moments. Some series even go as far as rehashing the same storylines with different set of characters just so they can continue for years.
But my biggest issue at the moment is when you set out your schedule to be at home, prepare your popcorn and sit in front of the tv and realize there's no new episode. Its like being pranked in a really bad way.

You actually just pointed out the reason why i dont like watching Filipino teleseryes in general - the idea that you can tweak a show just because of critic and commercial response. A lot of filipino series are overextended just because they have "good ratings".
This is also the exact opposite reason why i love Kdramas - because i know i can sit for 16 or 20 (or some a little bit longer) episodes which are better in production quality and that i know the story was well planned from the beginning that will have an ending. I like it that i am not left hanging and then i can move on.
Like i said, I am a faithful watcher in the sense that once i start a series i want to finish it to the end. I knew better and i shouldnt have watched these new Filipino BLs until they aired their final episodes. At this time and age i dont know how people can watch a series thats been running everyday for a few years straight.
By the way, thanks for the conversation. And sorry for venting out my frustrations I appreciate it.

Dont get me wrong i understand the MECQ situation, what i dont understand is why they started showing the first few episodes just because they obviously wanted to beat each other and ride the BL craze. They could have completed the production first then have a consistent release schedule. I rated Sakristan a little low, but i think i have to reconsider that since they were good enough not to leave the audience hanging.
I'm enjoying the series. I just wish they didn't keep showing the same scenes over and over. The fifth episode…
I totally agree! When the episode finished i thought there was a joke or something, nothing really happened at all. And that im not gay i just like this guy thing - what an aweful way to give confused guys an excuse about their feelings.
No In Between Episode 6 tonight. Technical difficulties. They did have a live session where they announced a Season…
ano po ba ang ibig sabhin ng technical difficulties? Im actually disappointed with these 3 current BL shows - including Gameboys and Hello Strangers - its like showing no regards for viewers. Gameboys and HS suddenly stopped showing episodes - its like "maghintay kayo kung kelan namin ipalabas". When i commit to start watching a series i see to it that i finish it to the end and then suddenly 'poof' they decide they dont want to show you the episode this week without any explanation. They even have the guts to say there's a season 2 and spinoff when they cant even finish 1 season properly.
I appreciated this balanced review - everyone seems to either love it or hate it. Regarding lips, if you are hit…
Hi thanks for the comment. I tried to be as balanced as possible but im afraid i may have given it a slightly higher grade just because i really love OffGun. I dont mind seeing bloody lips but this show has abused that, it became a lame and easy makeup effect.
Why do you think its in the wrong page, do you think they're not cute?
Oh my god yes, bright and win are gorgeous, i love toptap and mike, and i am inlove with frank and drake. But cuteness is not exclusive to them, i believe theres enough cuteness for everyone!
I read your review and clicked helpful :) i checked viki and netflix but the show isnt available there. Ill be watching it some other way *winkwink id let you know what i think of it. Sadly it may take me a while to see it all as we are back to work now.
Now im eager to watch it just because of your enthusiasm with the show!!! Write a review and i will mark it helpful. Promise i will watch it too (altho i think i have around 30 on my watchlist and our work has resumed).
No i have not. One of my friends reccommended that to me few years ago when i was so enamored with reply1988 but the 100+ episodes is just way too much for me. Im not sure if i have that commitment in me. I watched WHTMF and stayed watching only becauae of Hyungsik and KangJoon, im not sure if Joohwan is enough to keep me watching that. Was it really good?
For me I like that they dont show the love relationship out too much. I know that they are developing love for…
hmmm, i guess thats one way of seeing it, from a romantic point of view. I did enjoy their journey to loving each other its just that it felt kinda artificial for me.
I agree too. I was in total disbelief, they just messed up the entire series
Lol how? Dont get me wrong i love this show, i thought it was a little bit diifferent, then this episode happened. They have taken a lot of directions that made the show very similar to a lot of so so thai show i.e. the 'i saw my bf kissing another guy and i get angry and break up' scenes - Initially i felt like the pacing is a little slow, now i understand why if the show is getting a 2nd season, theyre stretching everything to have a story for 2nd season.
