yeah I get the feeling, but this version has dubbing and subtitles for so many countries that I think in a short time Netflix can bring the original version of this and many other dramas to its platform. And if people still don't appreciate it, whose loss is it? And more than that, it could very well offer the author and director the opportunity to create a Netflix original, which helps to diversify the asian content of the plataform and reduce the number of kdrama-only fans.

The original's rating is 9, when I opened this page it was 7.9. It's the same story, it's as well directed, acted and edited as the original, it's even clearer in its logic and the gay arc is great, I'm sorry, but there's no way this rating is fair. As a fan of the original I'm more than satisfied with this one, I think they made it justice, I agree with some things you said, I would choose a different sound track too, but I'm also aware that no new version will have me crying over the emotional impact just like SDOOD did. not only because of the iconic ost, but also because it was the first contact I had with the story

as a HUGE fan of the original version, I'm truly happy with the result and disappointed with this rating. IMO they did such a good job here, it was a great challenge, and the effort was paid off since it came of as a masterpiece as well. (It's so rare for me to say that) I wouldnt know which one recommend. I got anxious wondering if hyo seop could match greg's performance, he made zi wei be so impossibly perfect, but there was no need because HE DID. I would die for his nam si heon :((((((♥ . The only thing that let me down a little was the sound track 'cause even tho the main song was well chosed, none of the others was match for miss you 3000.

The past is where the whole story is developed actually and the present is pure angst and you'll definetely need the past evebts to suffer propely. For me it was so easy and fun to watch, but I understand the anxiety to move on and see whats happening to them in the present. I think in a few episodes, when the ML starts to low his guard and show some affection towards FL the story becomes less draggy. Hope you like it 🤩
