XLH probably also realizes his words are not 100% true or else she wouldn't pretend to be sick to get his attention. She knows that by doing so he will come, and he indeed did! If he really doesn't care, by that point he could have thrown her in jail or ignored her but he didn't...
Most important of all, while CH is not willing to sacrifice his suiyuntian for XLH, DFQC whose only goals were to dominate the 3 realms was willing to sacrifice it all for XLH.😭 Now tell me, how can u still not ship the main couple !?

In order to do that, it's related to XLH ability. Don't wanna spoil you with the detail. You can actually already guess from the drama😆 The death is related to him but I'm not sure if it can be said directly killed by him. (I'm soft-hearted toward DFQC 🥲) There was no hellfire or anything like that. My boi was truly the world number 1 😂 So in the drama, it's adapted a little differently.

From what I know, XY is the goddess of her sth clan (i don't rmb the name). XLH is probably a reincarnated ver of her. (we don't know how she became XLH yet). Basically, they are the same person. XLH doesn't know that in the past she is XY yet.
And back then, XY who during the time she was the goddess, have an engagement with CH. XY and CH are both newly added characters to the drama. About the wedding clip...it's possible that the one marrying is XY who also has memories of XLH (meaning XLH discovered her old self or is *gone*). She doesn't look happy marrying.
To those who didn't read the novel, this drama makes quite an adaption to the book. (Not complaining at all) The adaptation fits very well with the original book and make the entire plot richer. As a novel fan (and FML fan), I'm actually loving the plot so far! 🥰
- In the novel, there are no SML and many other characters are newly added. Including the book of fate and more, are also new. They are either newly added or have some changes according to their character. So honestly, we don't know the details of the drama's future plot as well.

And to those complaining about the FML voice, aren't you tired of it? As a fan, I'm tired of reading those black comments. It's her real voice! Nothing can please you guys. When dubbed say not professional, when self-dubbed is complained...If you don't like it, don't watch it. People who actually watch the drama know that the voice adapts to the scene and is actually very well done. To those complaining about Didi acting, plz watch it first. It has improved a lot!
Apparently, according to the producer, the drama won't air until the donghua is aired first. So it probably won't start until the later part of July...🥲 My hope of airing next week went down the drain...let's continue waiting...🥹
