love love park bogum and IU’s acting in here. However, I think make up, costume and choice of actors are a bit off in volume 2. gwan sik and ae sun look decades older; however the village chief is still played by the same actor and he doesn’t even look that old. even his wife then looks like his aunt, but he is unchanged. also the 3 grandmas dont look like they age at all
It’s been a while that I watch a golden drama. I cry for every episode and then cry again when I rewatch them. The acting of Park Bogum and IU are top notch. The acting of the older parents are amazing too.
I first encountered LGX in his role as the controversial husband in *Tale of Rose*. While Rose is surrounded by many attractive and high-quality men, it was this husband—who transforms from a pure-hearted student into a controlling figure—that left the strongest impression on me. Although his character should, in theory, be despicable, LGX’s convincing performance made me feel pity for him rather than hate.
The next project I watched was *Master of My Own*. In this, LGX looks particularly striking with his hair swept to the side, playing a cold and spiteful man in denial about his love for his former secretary. I was thrilled to have 40 episodes of him in suits to enjoy. I loved his performance so much that I ended up rewatching the drama three times.
The most recent work of his that I’ve seen is *Legend of Shenli*, which is nothing short of a masterpiece. LGX plays a calm and collected divine god, where even the smallest gestures hold immense meaning. He conveys so much with just his eyes, and his incredible chemistry with the female lead is deeply satisfying.
I know LGX has many more projects, and I’m slowly making my way through them. You are truly talented, LGX, and I wish you all the best in your career. I can’t wait to see what you do next!
this drama is so chemistry less and magic less... what happened to director writer duo, they were amazing in cha…
I totally agree with you. I like jung so min a lot and was excited about this drama but up to episode 6, I dont think she was made for this role. So many factors, from writer to actor to make up and costume designer, help create a believable character. For now I just think this female character is annoying and sometimesI wonder what our male character sees in her. I think Jung Hae In and second female lead are carrying the show and even then, the dialogues for Hae In are just…off. I can see that everyone is ‘acting’. Hoping for a change in upcoming episodes ….so it can still be a good romcom.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who isn’t feeling the drama. One thing is angst but this is just slow development,…
Im with you. I feel like Jung Hae In is carrying the show. Other than that, every episode is filled with fillers. And I think Im tired of the FL still oblivious of ML’s feeling for her.
Very impressed with the role Fang Xie Wen, the husband. It was interesting seeing him changing from a sweet, naive student to a controlling and jealous husband, which stems from his insecurity.
