I just hope that Beom Ja or Hyun Woo is smart enough to record the conversation when grandpa’s mistress admits…
Daebak! If hyun woo can prove the lady’s real name i oh sun yeoung then the legal guardian paper and other documents with the signature of mo seul hee will be invalid!
It’s interesting though because looking back, I think the hardest part would be to find the woman’s real identity but seems like Conan figured it out single-handedly.
Apologies in advance for the long post.Yet another great episode! This is such a solid, smart, engaging drama…
The wife may redeem herself in later episodes I feel like…if not for her baby then maybe ES will betray her, making her team up with the Queens family and become a whistleblower
The way they portray Geon U crying without his father on the plane…and so many times we see the mom feeling remorseful, I think she will join team Baek Hyun Woo and Beom Ja later. I also predict the oldest son will come to help rebuilding Queens.
On a side note I so love they solve the mystery of the watch in one episode and not dragging.

So many crazy mothers in the drama. Why are there no crazy fathers? Are fathers not that invested in their kids…
I think in many Asian countries, especially Korea, the stereotype is that fathers make money while mothers raise and tend to the children’s education. There is even an old proverb that says if a child misbehaves, it is because of the mom. So no, Asian fathers are not as invested in children’s education as mothers. The most overbearing fathers I have seen in Kdrama are in Skycastle, and even so they are made rather comedic than horrifying.
I knew that the killer aiming for mother Nam is a bit predictable and she wouldn't be in any harm but my...I could never guess the guy aiming for Haeyi instead! As episode 13 unfolds I started to see it coming, but I love how well woven every detail is. Sunjae's mother could have never thought that her last meeting with Haeyi would be investigated, the hateful friend could become a good witness of where Haeyi last whereabout was (and that may save her soul). I also liked the fact that Sun Jae suspecting his mother doing something harmful to Haeyi, just like how the mother, as a lawyer she is, just assumed that the elder son is the killer. A taste of her own medicine I guess. Soon enough she's gonna lose these sons if she doesn't stop what she is doing.
Overall, episode 13 is very well written! Less romance but still interesting nonetheless!
This was a bit underwhelming. I had such high expectations. Yes it was good but what has the main character done…
I agree. Been waiting for the grand scheme but after 8 episodes I still have not seen much. Also, if Yeon Jin had the guts to kill a girl in her high school years (Moon So Hee), she could have killed DE now easily with her power and money . It’s a little strange to see YJ worry too much about her husband knowing about her past. I mean, she comes from a rich family and it’s not like she relies on him for money… so far YJ has been not dangerous to DE which is unlike her cruel personality.
Yeah, The lines & dialogue on this show is miles better than KES previous work - no offense. I don’t have to…
I totally wholeheartedly agree with you. When I heard Song Hye Kyo acting in another KES’s script, I thought their formula for a successful drama is outdated, but this work from KES is totally different. Also Song Hye Kyo has such a beautiful yet melancholic, longing face that her roles as a person with a tragic past/present suit her the best.
I am confused…did Do Jun successfully buy Soonyang before he died, which was his goal? And who was the chaebol family member behind Hyun Woo’s death? And why did the grandfather leave nothing to Do Jun, what was his master plan behind his action? Did the granddaughter-in-law have a role in Soonyang’s rise and fall?
The ending fell super short. The last 15 minutes they tried to tie up all the lose knots so it was all a rush. I start the year by watching 2521 and end with Reborn Rich but both seems to be almost a masterpiece that turns mediocre.
Story aside, anyone in awe of the cinematography of episode 11? The scene when the husband got into the car to the truck of doom death was filmed in a single running of the camera without cuts or interruptions. This made it looked so real and tragic. Kudos to the special effect team!
