Under the Aurora
Can This Love Be Translated shines brightest in its first six episodes.
Those episodes are beautifully restrained—rich cinematography, quiet tension, and two people holding back while secretly wishing the other would stay. Episode 6 is the emotional peak. With his unresolved crush suddenly back in his life, the ML drifts, confused and unsure. The FL, already in love, steps back and roots for his happiness, even when it hurts.
Yet after the “accident”, at dawn, it is the FL he reaches out to.
The aurora scene says everything without words. Her relief that he is safe, his choice to share that moment with her, and their desire to stretch time just a little longer—this is where the drama feels most honest and alive.
The second half loses that clarity and emotional precision. But the feeling left by those early episodes lingers—rare, aching, and unforgettable—reminiscent of Crash Landing on You or Twenty-Five Twenty-One.
For that one night under the aurora alone, this drama is worth remembering.
