Episode 24 writers pissed me off. What was the point of all of that if Ashile was still gonna save her again.... I swear they really can't let a female character save herself.... Sigh....
I personally like both couple. But I hope people who say Hao Du and Leyan couple is so much better arent the same who say they are tired of damsel in distresses naive girl-cold smart guy dynamic in drama. Because then I understand why writer keep making those if the demand is high.... If they were the lead I would have stopped watching at episode 3. As a secondary couple however they are interesting.
That being said I dont know why people focus on the romance side of the story. Changge isnt obviously looking for a man and probably wont even give up her revenge for love later. For me the chemistry with Ashile is here but it's more a mature type of chemistry "wether I like you or not there are so many others things I have to do." It will be interesting to see how she will handle her feelings for him once they get stronger.
Leyan I also dont want her character to be reduced to a ship. Thats why I'm not begging for scene with her and Haodu.I'm actually enjoying her journey and looking forward tho see how her character grow. I wish people would looks at characters as individual before associating them others. For both Leyan and Changge I dont want their journey to be just about Hao Du and Ashile. Writers seems to understand but watchers not so much...

I think people tend to focus on main characters and analyse their reaction mainly. But the mistake is that here 2nd characters are written as deeply. It seems as an overreaction but actually it's something that fit her character.
