I think we should encourage this series given negative attitude still prevalent in Korea regarding homosexual relationship .....the best thing about the series is its dialogue in expressing their emotions and subtle symbolism like favourite book and apple .and they refrain from using those exhaustive words like 'i love u ' , I can't live without you and other used up cheesy lines of modern world ..yes it has several plot holes or let's say it gives us the gay fairytale just like cindrella, snow whites where grim realities of times do not interrupt our fantasy world ..it is like founding stone for historical gay relationship in korean cinema which could flourish with newer works in future

I have some doubts about the story ..are both female leads are second spouses to their husbands ....at start I don't understand who is taking interview of whom and what purposes ...does chairman has mistress ...if she given birth to anyone in family that that is why old lady was angry ..

The drama breaks the stereotype of traditional Korean male hero ,that you infact want in vincenzro and that is why you are disappointed ..the main theme of drama is when extremely powerful and brutal people who cannot be defeated comes behind you , then either you need super hero or devil himself by your side ..the story is not a out good vs evil but two different level of powers

I can't agree with you more ...there is definitely no momentum ..I was engaged in Vincenzo's journey and how it will take place within dark world of Korea - little by little , but suddenly there is this sudden full bucket of over acting - our female lead ..and story suddenly lost its path ....the same problem I found in King the eternal monarch - several plots and characters are not very well interconnected , to much focus was there in showing Lee min ho's handsomeness , his presence with slow motion ..I felt like I am watching two drama at the same time ...I hope they will overcome in up coming episodes

This season is for darker souls like Sisyphus , LUCA, Beyond evil and Moon river ...and I am loving it ....people just stop obsessing over language accuracy ..not every actor is gifted in it .. looking whole picture in its design will be more engaging ...Song joong ki is looking fine as hell and it looks amazing how far he has improved his acting skills ..his expression is not over exaggerating, his acting is to the point ..I hope in future he should challenge himself to take more difficult role

It is very strange that Queen has never cooked for our beloved king ..I wish they have added such scene ..I wanted to see the expression on king's face

all these twist of body swapping between male and female and then making male soul of male to fall in another guy is to challenge the homophobic viewers on their primitive ideas and finally concluding falling in love is beyond genders and is how your soul feel about . ..this is the major argument of LGBTQ community - that it is not the body rather what their soul choose to fall in love with

andaaz apna apna was an amazing movie no doubt ..every character was memorable

The chemistry between the leads is amazing ...I have not sense this since many past dramas though ..most of the romance I enjoyed , but as soon as they finished ..you just move on ...but here the case is different ..you can't move on with this couple ..their romance lingers with you ..both actors are so good ..and this is the ship that we haven't even thought of ...I want happy ending not some hangover - noir , philosophical , poetic type of ending that most of the asian drama do ..Just add some parallel universe where this king in this timeline was successful along with his queen and so future of this timeline has changed a little bit ..

you are speaking my mind ..I also want sweet love scenes between the two ..I don't care about palace politics ..even original chinese ending was not that bad because both of the ML and FL lives happily together for some time and die together ..I think this is happy ending and seems more realistic .

He is very under -rated ..inspite of being handsome and good acting ..His agency failed him...I would love to see him in Denver's character ..please keep your long hairs

Even I found him attractive ...his acting makes him more ...for his age , he is very handsome indeed with perfect jawline and features , it is just his kind of looks are not in trend and fashion presently in Asian dramas

I am on episode 7 and I am enjoying it...I also understand the FL ..but what I have observed in Asian dramas which focus on the age difference where FL is older , most of the time ML is too sweet to be true and one dimensional (something in the rain ) ..his only existence revolves around the FL and pursuing her ....only kdrama 'Secret Affair' could able to justify the this trope , but it was too melo dramatic and sad ...Uptil now the second ML seems more richly written ..he has grey shades yet comedic you will hate him , but also sympathize with him ..it is him who is directing the story and providing twist ..I wish FL could act more better ..most of the time she is stoned face and expressionless ..

don't be so sentimental and judge people just on watch list because I don't see the need to tell others what am I watching . ..I really like Lee Min Ho , but that does not make me blind ..and ignore his short comings . Yo have misunderstood on what I am trying to say ...he can do really very well if he go back to his earlier style of acting and evolved that ...rather being trying to fit in a mold that is considered standard for good acting in Korea .especially from male actors ...I still remember when I watched Boys of Flower though I hated Goo jun Pyo character , but man..lee min ho has nailed his acting that none of the actor till now has did in the same role..it literally breaks my heart when goo jun pyo witness Jandi kissing on beach ..lee min ho's acting is so good in that scene , he does not cry loud like most of the actors do, his expression , tells everything .he was hurt , angry , confused ..... his eyes were enough .. ..

it is kind of good , one time watch movie ..grab some pop corn and spend some nice time ..that's it ..don't expect too much ..don't analyse too much .....

what I have observed as an ardent fan of K- drama , that Lee Min ho once had a great potential as an actor ..in spite of playing arrogant and rude guy , his expression were apt ..he had his own style for example in Boys of Flower and Personal taste and even in initial episodes of Faith , but gradually his acting took a hit ..his presence became commercialized and he reduced to 'his own overused version' ..his own uniqueness disappeared and He showed same made up emotions as if some body wrongly advised him. Finally he just become a product with no essence of himself as an actor .....This culminated in the show The King which was a major disappointment where he was gain thrown into this rich handsome guy vessel to play......I think he is dissatisfy with himself and wants to break his image but so much investment is put on his image that he cannot do it ... I hope you can go back and find yourself and your uniqueness in acting rather following a certain trend in acting .....we as your fans will always support you
