Most of the audience wouldn't even know what a typewriter is :) :) :)
Father collects old mechanical typewriters. If I had been a good boy all semester in elementary school and improved my grades, he would even let me play with them! What amazing pieces of engineering.
If I watch this final ep, and Aey isn't dead or in jail, I'm going to burn things
He hasn't done anything illegal, so no jail. The only way he would end up dead is if he killed himself, and no, suicide is not something to wish on anyone. Aoey is a complex character, and the writers did a great job portraying a villain who is not just a caricature. We can both hate him and pity him.
My only contact with BL fan culture is through this (mydramalist) and the occasional comment I'll read on youtube. How realistic is its portrayal in this series? People really cannot separate fact the characters from the actors themselves?
I binge-watched the first five episodes again today. I had missed some points, but I am still confused about others.
Still unclear: 1. Hin is introduced as Gene's assistant What is Mork's relationship with Aoey's sister and the rest of the family? 2. Gene left to go to high school, right? That makes no sense; why wouldn't he go to school closer to home. 3. Gene is 26 (he tells that to Mork); so it's been 14 years since he and Sib parted ways. 4. Sib was sent to America to study while still in elementary school? This makes no sense! 5. In the years since he graduated, Gene should have gone back to home, and talked to Sib's mom; no matter how hurt he was, wouldn't he have asked about Sib's whereabouts at least once? 6. Ditto for his first meeting with Nubsib... if nothing else, a casual comment along the lines of "wow, my best buddy from when i was a kid had the same name" would be natural. Of course, that wouldn't make for good drama ;)

Missed: 1. Mork is the third main actor in Bad Engineer. 2. Tum's abusive sister runs the agency. 3. Drunk Gene playing with the dragon in Sib's car; same dragon as they were playing with when they were kids. Ditto for the dragon that Sib hides behind the pile of clothes in Gene's room. 4. Mork and Aoey already knew each other, and they have some past history together. 5. Gene's memory isn't very good. It took him a while to remember Tum, and they were friends in university. This *may* preimage how he didn't realize that Nubsib was his childhood buddy.
Okay is it just me, am I over thinking things? Or does Gene/Sib still kind of fall into the top = masculine, bottom…
The two related tropes that bother me are how anal sex is invariably presented as a painful experience, *and* which the "bottom" is willing to suffer to please his "top". OK, I understand that the target audience is mostly women, and maybe that's what appeals to them, but really, has nobody heard of lube? (I don't want to get any more graphic :) ). We saw this with Ae/Pete, Tharn/Type, hinted at with Bohn/Duen when Bohn fell off the bed and hurt his butt... at least in 2gether they made a joke of it by having a huge basket full of condoms being presented as a gift :)
Just finished Ep 9 (watching it on youtube from the official channel). How could Gene possibly have known about his father's relationship? Did I miss something?

I think I'm taking this too seriously :)
