I have such a great appreciation for Ming Lan. This is one of the shows where it must be watched with great concentration to be appreciated. In this show, everyone talks in circles and each seemingly nice phrase also has a dagger attached. Ming Lan not only navigates these situations with ease, but she also defends herself while receiving the least amount of damage and doesn't ever rely on anyone. As a result, I love Gu Ting Ye for Ming Lan; not only does he understand her mindset and childhood trauma he lets her rely on him without ever overshadowing her. Not to mention the true hero, Old Mrs.Sheng, who protected Ming Lan's strength and stood up for what was right.

Episode #9 was so heartwarming. My dad passed away on Nov 4/21 and I had to plan much of the stuff Sohee was doing and support my mom. During those times the love Ji Gu and Jiyeon showed her was everything and BukGu was amazing. I was not expecting this drama to be so well written
